I saw her too... in my bedroom when I was a child. I thought it was an angel or some spirit apparition, but I remember the feeling that a loving, caring person was looking over me. After watching this video and seeing the image of the blessed virgin in Zeitoun, I realize that it was the Theotokos I saw, watching over me as I lay in my bed. I was not raised Christian. My life has been a spiritual struggle. I grew up in a community of spiritists and psychics, so I was exposed at an early age to demonic influences. Now I am 48 and preparing to be baptized into the Orthodox Church. I realize now that all my life the Theotokos has been interceding before the throne of Christ, on my behalf, even though I am an unbaptized sinner. Glory to God! I am aware of the controversies in the Eastern Orthodox Church concerning ecumenism and interfaith communion, but I will always consider Copts, Armenians, Assyrians, and other "Oriental Orthodox" Christians to be my brothers and sisters in Christ. Most holy Theotokos, save us!

Orthodoxy is a piano with a full set of keys. Catholic have three quarter of the keys. The Protestants even less. Until these so called modern church have but a few keys of the piano. Sometimes His fingers show that He is of two natures, human and Divine, so He will have two fingers up. Sometimes He has one finger up to show that He is one hypostasis and His natures have come together as one. Thank you so much for this video. One thing I thought of after watching this, is that the Virgin Mother Mary was the real Holy Grail. The Holy Grail is a cup or vessel that can receive the divine grace of God, and that’s what she was. The prefect tense carries with it a sense of fullness or completion. Take for example the word translated “it is written” (gegraptai). This is a lovely film. There was a well-intentioned statement that the Protestant "reformation" caused a further divide within the body of Christ. Most certainly, the ever Virgin Mary was conceived without original sin. That of course makes her the Immaculate Conception!!! And of course it was necessary for the divinity of the Christ to be in a pure vessel without that stain of original sin. Next is the fact that Christ gets his human nature from Mary, He shares his human nature with her. This was her salvation, that God preserved her from sin so that His Son can have a mother as perfect as Him. Let's not forget our Medieval History. Joan of Arc's motto was JESUS MARIA. The archangel Michael brought these names down from heaven with him when he appeared to Joan of Arc to instruct her on what elements needed to be included on her battle standard. There was no NT for the first 300+ years of the Church. These stories are handed down from the time of the Apostles as are a huge library of writings of the early Church Fathers.

I am definitely growing closer to our most Holy Theotokos what a blessing. Other then venerating her Icon with a kiss I found lighting a candle at the Icon of the Theotokos at the Parish a great way to break the walls down as a former protestant. I liken it to bringing a flower to my mom.
