I don't think that last BRING IT ON question was correct. Peter Strauss did not play Tom. He played Steven when Mary was dating a younger man. He was 25 and she was 33 and Mary was feeling uptight about their age difference. Joseph Campanella played the boyfriend, Tom in the episode their were referring to.

he question regarding character, Tom Vernon, coming back into Mary's life was not played by Peter Strauss. It was actually played by the actor, Joseph Campanella. Peter Strauss played the guy she met at the store, who was much younger than Mary. They hit it off until Mary & Rhoda go to his party where everyone is much younger than they are. Love TMTMS!
