While I still love the first one to this day, Crocodile Dundee 2 is my favorite. Just an amazing film. And may I suggest watching the 1990 film Quigley Down Under? It is set in 1860 Australia and stars Laura San Giacomo, Tom Selleck and the late Alan Rickman. Very amazing film.

"The Man From Snowy River"(1982) is one of the biggest Aussie movies of all time. The greatest film director of Australia is Peter Weir. His best Aussie movies you should watch are "Gallipoli"(1981) & "The Year of Living Dangerously"(1982). He has made a lot of great movies. My favorite Peter Weir movie will always be "Witness"(1985) Starring Harrison Ford in his only Oscar nominated role.

A "bull roarer". That's the device Mick was using to summon his mates in the outback. And I learned about it from the Australian band, Midnight Oil, which has a song Bull Roarer from the album "Diesel And Dust". And a suggestion for another Paul Hogan film, that you would enjoy, is "Almost An Angel". A movie which stars Linda Kozlowski as well. Keep up the great reactions Mary, and I'll be looking forward to your next flick! 😉🎥🍿

I love parts 1&2 but i like part 2 more because it has more drama and fun action mixed with the comedy and romance. Watching Mick cleverly capture and tie up the bad guys in the second half in Australia is a whole lot of fun. " He wants to know if we're allowed to eat these men? " lmao

When Bob was leaving the message on her machine, and that guy was listening in with that 💩eating grin on his face, you could hear a few shots thru a silencer from somewhere above him, implying that Bob was unalived off camera. That sound that you thought sounded like a leaf blower is an aboriginal way of communicating over long distances, it’s called a bullroarer. Also used as an musical instrument. Always loved that sound. Love the first movie but always preferred this one too. Edit I should add that bullroarers have been found on pretty much every continent , dating back thousands of years so not just aboriginal.

"I'm an Australian and I haven't seen these movies" .... It's a good thing I wasn't driving when I heard that because I can't afford to buy another car right now. Anyway, another great reaction. "Nah, mate, we just hold 'em" has to be the best exchange in the film. The film itself is a bit of art that would ultimately imitate reality as Paul Hogan and Linda Koslowski were married for almost 25 years.

19:30 They're really simple to make, a small thin board or stick cut flat about the length of your palm with a hole in it in one end, thread a length of thin rope into the hole and twist the two ends around each other the entire length and then tie the ends with a knot to keep them twisted, the twist will rotate the board as you swing it, and that will create the sound. Heavier wood is preferable but you could just take a few pieces of cardboard and glue them together.

It's not an Australian film, but you might like F/X (from 1986, the same year as Crocodile Dundee), which stars an Aussie, Bryan Brown. It's an action thriller about a special effects expert who is hired by the US government for a special job. He's kind of like a higher-tech MacGyver. It's a fun and clever movie, especially if you like technology.

10:50 No, Bob's dead. During the last scene in Colombia when Miguel was listening in on Bob's call to New York, his accomplice José walked through a door. Bob hung up & continued to pack. The next shot, you only saw Miguel's face, but you heard a door get kicked down, 2 suppressed gunshots, & the sound of a body hitting the floor. That's enough evidence to confirm. It was actually a very chilling scene, remarkably effective despite showing little.

From a U.S. subscriber who saw _Crocodile Dundee_ and _Crocodile Dundee II_ opening weekend, I can tell you that both were very popular in America. The sequel was released May 25 and was #1 at the U.S. box office for three straight weeks. The original might've been the biggest grossing Australian film worldwide up to that point. I don't mind either one. The outback scenes are better than the New York scenes, but Hogan and Kozlowski have great screen chemistry and some of the bits are fun. I dig the Crocodile Dundee theme by Peter Best.

I’ll recommend “Cosi” as an underrated Australian film. Has Toni Collette and Ben Mendolson early in their careers and is quite charming.

I prefer the 2nd one , I love all the games he plays and the out fit swap at the end . It's a brilliant film.

The first film introduces the characters and this different style of humorous story telling. The second movie allows us to enjoy these characters a little while more. They made a few more I think, and although I can barely remember them, the sense that remained is that they feel more like money was the main inspiration not story telling. Another little masterpiece that few people saw in the movies at the time, but I did, is The Gods Must Be Crazy. Australian comedy of the late seventies very early eighties. Definetly check it out. This film deserves more exposure.

PAUL HOGAN did a movie in 1990 , called "Almost an Angel" It's a supernatural themed movie about Paul as a guardian angel. His wife from the Dundee movies is in it too !

_The Loved Ones_ (2009) is a really good Australian horror movie, if and when you're in the mood for that.

Here’s an Australian movie you can watch. Razorback! It came around a time people figured “Hey Jaws come out with a shark as the villain. What other animal can we do?” And Razorback was one of em.
