I love the moment of Nebula almost crying when she hears Rocket's voice on the intercom. They haven't really done anything with it, but Rocket and Nebula lived through five years together as the only Guardians that survived the snap. That's a hell of a bond for two cyborg experiment people.
@johnneysmeth3328

Nebula is criticising the others in this film because that's how she was raised by Thanos. Every time she made a mistake or lost a sparring session with Gamora, she would be tortured and have a body part replaced. Its why she has that mentality of trying to find faults in others - that's all she really learned for most of her life. Its like you say her recognising Drax was born to be a dad was an awesome moment, but also I love how she recognises her fault stemming from her childhood and deciding to oversee all these kids having a better future. James Gunn says this movie is about "the self", and it applies to all the characters. Nebula ties competence to her self-worth and that's why she criticises others, Drax's self-image of the destroyer was not true to the dad he really is, and Mantis recognised her self was tied to the Guardian's decisions but not to her own autonomy. Peter learns to swim and become independent, and also open himself up to loss by visiting Earth again. Gamora recognises Peter is someone she could have potentially fallen for and sees the value of the Guardians overall to her alternate self. Rocket learns he really is a raccoon and has a higher purpose than that of an experiment. 42:10 I would say she is close to some of the others. Gamora's her sister, but she's also definitely close to Rocket as well. Remember, when the Snap happened, only Nebula and Rocket were left and they spent 5 years mourning Gamora and Peter and the rest together. She also mentions how her upgrades were from Rocket, and when Rocket came back the first thing he says is "Where's Nebula?". Kraglin also seems to have a crush on Nebula, later in the movie he says "Kragula back in action", and there's even a deleted scene where its so obvious he has a crush on her 😂

32:37 When I first saw that scene at the movies, with Rocket looking at the baby raccoons (and possibly seeing himself as a baby) a phrase popped out in my head that I wanna share with you guys: "Being a hero is not about taking back what was taken from you, it's about giving to others what was taken from you".

This is one of the best movies from phase five so far because we finally got to see Rocket’s tragic backstory. Fun fact, Linda Cardellini, who played Hawkeye’s wife Laura in Avengers and the limited series Hawkeye, played the new character Lylla because Lylla is Rocket’s love interest in the comics. You may also recognize Jennifer Holland who plays the office administrator because she previously played Emilia Harcourt in The Suicide Squad movie and the Peacemaker TV series, as well as Daniela Melchior, who plays the new character Ura since she had played the character Cleo in The Suicide Squad.

My dad heard it back in the day when it debuted & hadn’t heard it again until James Gunn used it for Guardians of the Galaxy. i think an interesting thing to point out is that, Quill saying "everyone on earth dies around 50", might allude to the fact that, that's all he can know from time on earth, he was abducted around 8-9 years old, saw his mum die when she was maybe in her 30s, the grandfather might've been around 50-60, which is probably where he gets that knowledge from. This is just a theory, but i thought a pretty cool detail.

The first GOTG was my mom’s favorite comic book movie ever, sadly she passed away from cancer complications in 2015 at just 65 years old. What hooked her to the movie at first was the soundtrack of many of the songs she grew up on, but then she loved it so much that she became a fan of the MCU. It’s why this franchise has a very special place in my heart. So when Dog Days Are Over (ANOTHER favorite of mine and my mom’s) was playing and the Guardians were celebrating/moving on with their lives, I was a wreck. Not out of pain of loss, but of remembering the good times I had with my mom. As for the movie itself, it’s one of my top 10 favorite comic book movies ever, as well as an all time favorite.

Darn tear-jerker of a movie, but it took Mary a darn long while to realize that the High Evolutionary was treating Rocket badly.

I think this shows that the MCU Nebula isn't someone who's evil at heart, she just got stuck in a situation where it was her was all she ever knew. Once she got to escape that setting, she became someone who is actually tries to be good, but has to get past a lifetime of being horrible.

Haglin being confused by Cosmo makes sense to a degree, gotta remember Haglin isn't human, and dogs aren't exactly common in space, Cosmo is his first time interacting with one, and it's one with powerful psychic abilities and the ability to communicate, that'd be strange enough to us down here.

I feel like Mantis and some of them will come back is something big happens, like the MCU introduces Annihilus and they do the thing in the comics where Annihilus and his army the Annihilation Wave damn near conquer the entire universe and so everyone that is any and everyone comes together just to survive.

I like how we've seen how Rocket is clearly shown to be some sort of super genius the whole time (I mean, he builds guns out of literal trash in the past movies) but he is always kind of a silly, angry charachter who shoots things and doesn't use his abilities for much else besides violence.

There was a deleted scene that was released where Rocket locks the High Evolutionary away, I’m glad they didn’t kill him and I hope we see more of him because as much as I loved Jonathan Majors as Kang the conqueror I found the High Evolutionary a much more interesting and intimidating villain.

All of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies have been enjoyable to me. Gunn likened the High Evolutionary to "a space version" of Doctor Moreau from Island of Lost Souls (1932), a film Gunn is a big fan of, calling him "a detestable character."There is a lot of great music in all of the Guardians of the Galaxy movies that I love."There is no god! That's why I stepped in." ―High Evolutionary. It was such a dark, creepy, and awesome movie. I really enjoyed it. High Evolutionary is dubbed as one of the "cruelest villains" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chukwudi Iwuji described High Evolutionary as "narcissistic, sociopathic, but very charming. I couldn’t have thought of a better character that uses skill sets better to join the MCU with. Because there’s something very Shakespearean about him, there’s something very emotionally dark about him, and he’s a lot of fun on top of all that".

James Gunn and Nathan Fillion are friends and have been since they filmed the movie Slither together. I believe that James attempts to have Nathan Fillion cast in some way in every movie he's done since then. In the first Guardians movie he did the voice of the alien in the prison the breakout of. I believe it was the one that Groot lifted up by the nose. Nathan filmed a scene or two for Vol. 2, but it ended up being cut out of the movie. Now that James has taken over the DC movie universe, he has already cast Fillion as Green Lantern. Fillion has voiced the Green Lantern in some of the animated DC movies.

As an ex-comic collector, yes there are vast differences between the comics and the film adaptation, but honestly even among us old-timer fans of the comics, we can still appreciate the film for what it is and I loved this trilogy. Unsurprisingly, it is the High Evolutionary who got the biggest change, probably due to time constraints. He is written as such that it is so easy for us to hate his guts and that's a great achievement of writing for the film. I think the reason GotG keeps setting itself apart from the crowd despite the massive growth in this genre is the film remembers that what carries it are the characters portrayed in it, and the Guardian's films all instinctively knew this and pushed it to the front in every situation. As such that what mattered to them drove their decisions, often conflicting with others within the group. In contrast, it often feels like the vast majority of the super hero films have unwilling heroes being dragged by a giant, invisible anchor pulling them from one encounter to the next. Also, lovely reaction :)

Did anyone notice that when Mantis, Drax, and Nebula were trying to get into the Arete (The High Evolutionary's Ship), and they were "entering space", and then Mantis asked why they were even trying to get into it in the first place, Nebula responded with saying that Groot and Peter were in there, and they needed to get them out, but as she said that, you could see Peter, Groot, and Recorder Theel Falling right behind them.

Hi Mary!🙂This is only available to purchase on VOD in the States right now. It hits Disney+ on Aug 2nd here. Everybody really hates the main bad guy in this one. Even his staff turns on him at the end. Disney just announced they are slowing down the release of Marvel and Star Wars projects. Many people have questioned the quality of some of the latest projects. Great reactions to probably the final Guardians film, Mary!!!!🎬👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
