I have Lupus SLE. Someone commented about ulcers below, I also have had many ulcers both painful and not painful but I get them very frequently, also I have just been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy. No diabetes, so the neurologist assumes it's from the Lupus. Blessed to not have renal issues, but I guess I am one of those rare few you mentioned in case there is anyone thinking they're alone out there...you're not! Anyway, this was a fascinating lecture, thank you for sharing!

I am a Lupus patient. I have been through many ups and downs throughout my treatment term so far, but still fighting 11 years on. I sufferred a stroke and ended in a coma for a week, only to wake from this coma fully paralyzed and unable to speak. I underwent one year of full physical and speach therapy and managed to regain most of what I lost. Lupus also caused me to get more diagnosis of further disease like, CNS Vasculitis and Addison's disease. Been on chemotherapy and Corticosteroids for 11 years non-stop. I am extremely UV sensitive and it is very clear to me that UV exposure without a doubt leads to a flare up. I pray that this comes to an abrupt end soon, either way, life is too harsh for me, the pain, mentally and physically is at times too unbearable! Thank you fir reading... Sean XXX

Thank you for the information. Us Loopy patients NEED to be educated as much as possible. As a white male with Lupus I must "prove" it every time I meet a new doctor. The wife and I both want to move out of Florida but I am terrified of being off of my meds until some new doctor gets blood work back.

@@luisrm37 Yes, I love the doctors that I have. They were all with me years ago when trying to figure out what was going on. Now with treatment my platelet and red blood cell counts are normal and my ANA is negative. I don't want to repeat the diagnostic journey. It was expensive as well as feeling like crap. If you are an MD you'll understand me when I say it is no fun being the zebra.

Winner of a video, I been tryin to find out about "coping with lupus flares" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Denmelia Jansabella Builder - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now )? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to treat lupus without the headache. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my buddy got excellent success with it.
