My husband & I didn't have conflicts & stress in our marriage, he said he got bored with me & there were 2 women that he claimed needed his "help" that more & more time was spent "helping" them out. That included coffee, lunch & even dinners out alone together to talk about their problems. They spent hours texting, even late at night & he lied to me about how often he was talking with them. Though they were 20+ yrs younger than him, I believe he had fantasies it could be more given enough time with either of them. We are still married, but he will never admit they were more than very good friends. But trashed me in couples counseling to get sympathy from the counselor as I'm the issue, not his cheating. I'm now dealing with betrayal trauma, since I wasn't just betrayed but also emotionally beat up afterwards to excuse his behavior.

There will always be greener grass on the other side of the fence. You must not take your marriage for granted like: gaining much weight, let your appearance become disheveled. watch too much TV, become a nagger, etc.

Emotionally battered is right on point. Mine was texting and accepting invitations via text to drink shots with her (my friend) at her house while her husband was at work! Now that he knows that I know he has been flipping the guilt on me and has been accussing me of sleeping with my friends husband. So not true and inappropriate. He won't even try to make me feel re assured.

My wife says her guy is “just a friend.” They have been talking quite a lot. Always going into another room and staying on the phone for hours, secretly meeting for lunch, etc. ALL cheaters say it’s just a friend.

The part you leave out is that NO ONE can make you happy, but yourself. So if you are trying to get happiness from another person, the problem is YOU and you will always continue to look elsewhere for the addicted “fix.” Until you can feel love for yourself and who you are, you will cheat in any relationship.

I feel like im in such a bad place an at a loss than because she never seems to wsnt to be empathtic in my shoes an take my perspective she thinks its him she thinks she so diffferent that hes what she wants because he validated her an hit all these needs i tried to give an example of how unmet needs going unmet for so long when validated after that puddle of small talks turned to a flood they hit hard an can feel like somethi g youve never had before its the mind playing those tricks with the chemicals but she doesnt wantt o take the look at all of these other aspects as i try an validate an try an validate her feelings conatantly. What if tye cheater says I dint know what I want or it was over a comment u made 12 yr ago...which by the way I made a suggestion...but he took it as crotocism to try get some fofferent work as he only worked casual amd always relied off his family.. and he had over 10p names from date sites and some ohine numbers and then stonealled amd ignored since caught him
