You definitely get credit for just letting her play!!! May I suggest letting them dry, then adding a bit of your cosmic shimmers and a little more water? Emphasis on LITTLE for the water. Magicals are awesome on their own (I have 3 shimmery sets), but sometimes it is fun being able to get joy out of a product you didn't love before.

Top tip for the Magicals in these kind of containers (they now also have shakers, like a salt shaker but more fun 😂): do NOT take the foamy seal off but just poke a few small holes in and voila, instant shaker for easier powder distribution. Kind regards, Nicola

BUT you chose the FLAT colors. The real magic is in the shimmer colors. I know you can add shimmer to any of their colors and I LOVE all of their pigment colors, however, the magic is in the shimmer. They have almost all their colors in shakers now. Why am I so passionate about this product? Full disclosure - I'm an addict. I have almost all of them. And I've actually encouraged friends to join me in my addiction. There are so many different colors and so much you can do with them. EXPERIMENT. They are so fun! I LOVE LOVE them. So great you showed what to do with them. I often use them as watercolors and simply use them to paint the background for my stamped and/or die cut images.

Lindy's have moved to shaker bottles and you can get empty bottles for the old flat containers . They have a "fairy fluff" you can add to the Matt colours for some shimmer . It's fun but I like the Lindy's shimmers . You can also add a bit of water and use them to "paint" with . That's fun for stamped images.

Hi Mary! I have been playing with Lindys for a while. They are awesome pigment powders snd they apply better with a fan brush. The shimmer powders are the most beautiful like the outer space set. Love that Tennis card so neat!

If you use a dry paint brush, you can tap it on to the paper more conservatively which gives better control.

I like using a fan brush with my Lindy's magicals. I just lightly dip it in and then tap it over my paper. It works really well for me.

Have a look at Brusho. Their jars are made to either open fully, or you can stick a thumbtack into the center and just shake out the tiniest bit. And trust me, a tiny bit goes a LONG way lol

My personal favorites are the Nuvo Shimmer powders. They come in a bottle with a fine tip like Nuvo Deluxe glue and most have multiple colors in them and tons of shine. They warn you to tap the bottle don’t squeeze so you don’t get clumps. I also have some Color Bursts and a few Lindy’s Magicals for comparison. Your Papi card is adorable.

I was curious as to a comparison of these to Brushos and Nuvos. I bought loose powder shakers from Amazon a good while ago and transferred my powders into those - they look like Lindy’s except they have a clear top not black - and I like both of those. I also bought the Infusions, which seem to have a bit of walnut crystals in them and transferred them, too. I like all 3 of those and was wondering if I “needed” the Lindy ones beyond different colors? So pretty! And I find them to be so messy! I still use all of them, but they are messy! TFS both the technique, product, and your daughter.

Randomly happened by, never seen your vids before…I have Lindy’s powders in spray form-that is, they came in spray bottles in powdered form; I added water and boom, spray that was wow, and that’s probably news to absolutely nobody in comments here, anyhow- Fell in love with T-shirt die. It went immediately into cart. I used to dye for a living. T-shirts. I recognized the potential at once-of course-and oh my mini-T! Squee.

If you dip a very small paintbrush in the magical, you will have more control.

Just barely dip the edge of your fan brush on the powder, hover above your cardstock and tap your brush handle. And start with a smaller amount of water.

i wonder if using a really soft dry paint brush like one you'd use for applying blush to pick up the powders would work better than a spoon maybe. Ive never used it so i don't know but worth a try.
