Wow craft tools have become overwhelming! But fun.... A tip: to always remove tacky tape from watercolour paper, heat it on low heat, using a mini blow dryer, then pull tape off - no issues, whatever you use....

What is your go to brand of white embossing powder and colored powders.? I struggle with finding a good one.

Great question! I don't use a lot of colored embossing powders because if I really want a sentiment or stamped image to be embossed a certain color I first use the color I want in Versafine Clair (Pigment ink so it stays wet a bit longer) then I use clear embossing powder. But here are my recommendations: Pigment Ink pads shrsl.com/4lcx7 Clear embossing Powder shrsl.com/4lcx8 White Embossing Powder: shrsl.com/4lcx9

QUESTION: I have never sealed my blended Oxide backgrounds and never had any issues (just vigorously rubbed over on sitting here - nothing). Is it the smooshing which makes the Oxides „instable“? Or why the need for sealing??? Kind regards, Nicola
@marypolancodesigns
@marypolancodesigns 3 күн бұрын
I agree, I hardly ever seal my projects but I suppose because they are water reactive if you sent a card through the mail and it got wet, it would change the who look of the oxide design.

I, too, have CP and Oxides (building my collection, the colours I like, only). Distress, I have reinkers only (and a few stray ink pads and minis I picked up super-cheap on sale…) for water colouring, techniques etc. CP for blending and stamping, Oxide for blending and techniques - really a world of colourful 🤩

There should be a self-help group for moms of wonderful Teenage (capital T, obviously) daughters 😂 - mine, too, is an amazing, intelligent, lovely person, until she turns into a monster (usually as soon as I am within five yards of her)…

Have a look at Brusho. Their jars are made to either open fully, or you can stick a thumbtack into the center and just shake out the tiniest bit. And trust me, a tiny bit goes a LONG way lol

For making your own stencils, I laminated my cardstock and then created my stencils. They are easy to wipe, protected on both sides, and they are more sturdy. I also made a lot of them just from running the laminating pouch through the laminator on its own, and it just gives me a sturdy plastic to make stencils out of. I use the 5 ml laminating pouches.

I have a hack. Instead of using a latex glove to protect a finger, using a latex finger tip condom. Saves some dough and lots of latex.

I had a Carl Rotary trimmer several years ago and loved it. At the time, I used it to cut photos for scrapbooking. By the way, that's what the marks and measurements on the platform are for. Unfortunately, I lost it when my house was destroyed in a wildfire. Thanks for the interesting video.

Thanks for all the info! You’re excited but soothing at the same time (it’s like a magic trick LOL). My vertigo, however, really hated the video; I had to close my eyes and jump through most of it-seems I nearly always have that problem with craft room videos (I experience nausea and headaches).😞 I’m going to rest for a while, then check out your next video (I’m catching up after taking a forced hiatus from KZbin).

Love this video 🙂 I use the Pringles containers to use for putting items in, the small ones are a great size & with with the large ones I've cut it in half and glued the lid to the bottom so I have 2 containers. Any round cardboard containers should work, the Pringles ones are thick and sturdy. A great way to get rid of sticky residue off of stuff, including price tags etc from books etc is Eucalyptus Oil. Put some on a cotton ball or cloth and go for it. 🙂💚🇦🇺

Mary I bought some very strong round magnets from hobby lobby and they were not very expensive but I have a magnetic glass board that was from the old Slce cutting machine and they work wonderful on my board nothing moves. I would look for them they use to be where glues and basic crafts were but at my store they have moved them. They are the Hobby Lobby brand.😊

I use my long oblong brush holder thingy 4.22 time stamp for each project. But my pokey tool, pencil and pen always live in it then I'll put which ever blending brushes I'm using for that particular project. I find this works good for me and I don't have to spend money on extra ones 🙂🇦🇺
