Most appreciate the knowledge you share with us. I in dire need of a question to be answered. How do you sample older "dusty" type songs with the live instrumentation where the tempo fluctuated in the measures. In FL Studio, I could easily edit the pitch and time stretch the chops, but it seems in Maschine 2 if you edit on chop the all the chops are effected the same. I hope I ask that question clearly because I really love working the Maschine software but having problems figuring the sampling out,

how do you spread your sample across all 16 pads, and start chopping where you want and put back together in a different sequence?

can you assign different pitch shifts to a pad? It would be awesome to have a sample then take a bite and do a melody with the same sound on the fly.

Hey, man...I'm *almost* there..I followed your instructions to a T, but when I hit apply it does nothing. I go to keyboard mode to hear the sample played over all 16 pads, and it definitely didn't work, because it plays the sample faster on the higher pads. Any ideas?

I made a sample on maschine with massive. But I'm trying to start the sample low and bring it up higher gradually but I'm unable to figure out. So simple yet so frustrating, I know on my mk2 I can hold down shift + auto and move around the master volume nob on massive while recording and it will save, but I know there's more ways to do so but I'm just hittin a wall I can't figure out. On ableton you can just go into the volume envelope adjust how you want it and walla. But it's just that simple lack of knowledge I'm missing any help out there? Thnks

When I record a new sample, I notice the speed of the sample is faster on higher notes and slower on lower notes. How do I get my sample to play at the same speed on all keys? Also I am using Maschine2 with the komplete Kontrol MK2 instead of a Maschine. But most of the controls I think are the same.

Can you warp single chops like Ableton can? I want to be able if say the last chop of my sample is too fast and stretch only that 1 chop but keep the loop like it is.

No warping but you can move any part of a sample you want to a separate pad then stretch, pitch, effected it anyway you want. I do it all the time.

Brother Tasherre what's good I'll be tuned in tonight, on this subject I have already chopped the samples but now I wish to speed them up to fit tempo of the beat,is there a way to individually adjust each like on the mpc 2000 ?
@Computermusicacademy3138 жыл бұрын
+djDMANCQ Sup Dude. Yes, you can. Truncating each sample / chop first, then you can stretch each one individually. I'd also suggest copying your samples to another group first. That way if you screw something up, you always have a backup. Hold Duplicate, tap the group you want to copy, then tap the group you want to copy to. Done.

Throwing this out there... Does anyone know how to or if I can edit sounds from "all sounds" on my Maschine? I can edit sounds from "samples" but seems like I can't do it if it has a "massive" effect to it or in the "all sounds" list. Any help would be much appreciated.
@Computermusicacademy3138 жыл бұрын
+Scott King Only way you can edit the instruments is by opening that instrument.
@scottking9128 жыл бұрын
I'm looking to edit/slice loops from the 'samples' list and sounds from the 'all sounds' list. Neither one are an option when I click on the sample button while in that sound. I can edit SOUNDS from the 'sample' list, and that's all.
@Computermusicacademy3138 жыл бұрын
+Scott King Well, there's different types of "sounds" that come with Maschine. There's the Samples: Drums, Bass, Synths, etc. Then there's the Instruments. You brought up Massive. If you're trying to edit a Massive patch you have to open Massive. If you're trying to edit the Sounds, you just load it to a pad then go to the Sample / Edit mode. Hopefully that clears things up.
@scottking9128 жыл бұрын
Gotcha. Ok, I'll try that. Thank you.

I know it's an old video, but I do have a question related to this video instruction. I have created my very first sample. I sung a phrase into my mic, and what I want to do is playback that phrase on a pad in different keys, without it speeding up or slowing down, no matter the key/pitch I play it in, but play the ENTIRE PHRASE as I recorded it. If you or anyone else can instruct me on how I can get this done, I surely thank you in advance. JW

does the pitch shifting and time stretching work in real time
@Computermusicacademy3138 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not yet but it's very fast. I became a lot more fluent with it after this video. Until they add "real time" (which is rumored to be soon) you can quickly undo and redo until you find the results you want. Takes me less than a minute with multiple tries.

@PHeMoX7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the lack of preview is just mind boggling. We need to hear what changes, especially with a 1.00 note up or down not actually matching musical tones properly anyway. A regular scale goes closer to like +0.90 +0.90 +0.50 +1.00 +0.50 , instead of just +1.00 for any regular next note in a scale (inc majors or minors). It sucks without preview.
