luv your enthusiasm for the artist and his work. I purchased several of his kits back in the 80's and truly loved them. I still have some un-assembled in box. I knew they were great then!

Hi Jeff and thank you very much. Yes it's brilliant stuff and truly an honour to have the chance to work with the property and meet the man himself! Those 80's kits are such classics!

I do need to get one of these fliers at some point.... If I can find one at a reasonable price that is!
@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright5 жыл бұрын
Yes they are an iconic kit, shame the box is so big which makes them expensive to ship to the UK...

Mr. Wright, I'm new to Ma.K. I am enjoying your videos very much, especially since they are one of the few ways to get info on the genre in the English language. Since you are officially the ambassador to us English speakers, could you get us started on English translations of the written works that build up the S.F.3.D/Ma.K. universe? I'm sure many of us are dying to immerse ourselves in the world, but it's difficult with such limited resources. Thanks.

This video is such a great public service. My mom actually bought me one for Christmas (coolest mom ever, right) and it came with this roller coaster of "oh god, this box is massive, the thing will never fit on my desk" to opening it and panicking that there seemed to only be half a kit in it. phew, answers to those perceived issues in advance.
@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright5 жыл бұрын
Wow K, best mum ever! Haha, yes that box is a little scary isn't it and then you pop it open, "oh, that's it?" I still have a chuckle every time I get a hold of one. Hey and thanks for the kind words about the public service, yes I guess that is true and I hope to have more answers for you as I complete the Build Log. Thanks again buddy!

Linc, great review and happy to see back to Ma.K. I always wanted to make a Griffon without the laser, converted into a photo reconnaissance bird.
@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright5 жыл бұрын
thank you very much Grant and that sounds like a perfect project. You could drop the excimer and replace it with a pod with some cutaways for the "photo guns", I really like the sound of this!

Really looking forward to the book. I have a small collection of books from modellers I admire. When this one comes out it will stand proudly next to my Rinaldi Studio Press and AMMO books.

Awesome Mr Wright. Congratulations on your very deserved new position. Look forward to the build. Not looking forward to the $100usd to own one. 😬.

thank you very much @Zep Ocean, sincerely appreciated. Build is coming together, just shared the first hour long tutorial on customising the pilot and seems very well received. Yes, shame about the price getting them outside of Japan... but sadly many kits this size are around this price - it's quite big too!

Has anyone made a Bob Ross inspired gunpla (not adding a Bob Ross doll wig on it), like sunset colors for the body and an landscape on the shield?
@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright5 жыл бұрын
Hi Mike, not sure but yes, I do get the Bob Ross Talkalike comments a great deal - after hearing this I looked him up and am now a fan so quite happy about the friendly comparisons. :)

Yeah the Spitfires with Griffon engines are pretty cool, aren't they?
@PaintonPlasticbyLincolnWright5 жыл бұрын
@Cosmo Pandaz of definitely, the Griffon and maybe the Tropical versions could be my favourites but it's such a hard choice!
