So my issue is, seconds before they were still talking shit about how he needs to die… like they were on a delay before it hit them, “oh he is currently preventing our being crushed to death.” To me, that just screams “we only value this non magic person so long as he is useful,” and furthermore, if they come across some other non magical dude in the future, they’d be fine with killing him because he didn’t save their lives like Mash did.
