Yes, but those shows recreate the pressure, yelling, and sometimes chaos of all restaurant kitchens on some or most nights. Chef Pepin came from the best chefs with the best kitchens in France, his restaurants in NYC were the best, and he seems like a very calm gentleman, so his kitchens were probably calmer than most.

It's difficult to choose a "favorite" celebrity chef because so many have taught me enormous amounts about food and cooking, but I really love Nigella Lawson, and am of the opinion Jaime Oliver looks like he spits while he talks, and methinks it would end up in any meal he prepares.

Bobby Flay is so FOS!!! He left the Food Network, because he demanded an annual salary of $100mil, to compete against Fieri’s $60-$80mil annual salary. That right there is a Celebrity Chef who’s completely Overrated, and one that has made more new enemies; Flay vs Fieri!!! Flay vs Food Network!!!

One of the worst meals I've had in many years was at Gordon Ramsey's pub in Caesar's Palace. I can't imagine Jaime Oliver's restaurant making anything worse. Long John Silvers makes better fish and chips to the ones Ramsey's kitchen made for me.

Alton Brown vs Adam Richman...Brown is a buffoon. When he first started he was an incredible teacher for anyone interested in cooking. Then he decided to become a comedian. A very silly and bad one. Thankful for remotes to cut the TV off when Brown appeared.....boring! Richman was likable. He didn't take himself too seriously.
