My interpretation of Echo and Again is: Basically something traumatic happened to Gumi (I'm black then I'm white, no something isn't right) like maybe someone did something to her but she can't remember who did it (my enemy's invisible I don't know how to fight) and it kept echoing in her mind and she couldn't forget that something happened. Maybe she then somehow forgot about it. Now it's happening again (I haven't been myself lately). Maybe that traumatic thing is now causing all the previous memories to come flooding back and that's why she wants to commit suicide (every inch of me is charred) and also maybe the "God what happened to my heart" is referencing the trauma she is experiencing. Also "I'm about to fall apart, again again" as in "oh no it's happening again, I'll be mentally destroyed again" Just my personal interpretation :)

Anyone else think that this mashup is a sort of call and response or a past self vs. present/future self kinda thing? Like _ECHO_ is Gumi's "younger self" (Just to give a reason for why her voice is higher for the story's sake) who's just had her first taste of feeling betrayed or the wonderful feeling of being in an intimate relationship has suddenly ended due to a mistake she may have made. She doesn't understand the intense hurt in her heart so she's lashing out because of it. Yet _Again_ is when Gumi's gotten older and sees herself as inadequate. She's gotten used to close relationships with friends or loved ones suddenly ending and always believes that she's the reason why it did. _ECHO_ is her sense of innocence being stripped away. _Again_ represents her regrets/reasons for feeling this way that are explained in _ECHO_

What if echo is decribing what gumi was feeling before the events of Again. Think about it, gumi in the song echo clearly says she is gonna burn her house down, and in again, she says she is on fire. What probably may have happened is that gumi did make her house burn when she was herself, but maybe one of her personalities​ took over her again and noticed that their house is on fire and holding a lighter. Maybe that personality thought that it was for suicide. So Gumi probably ended up going inside and burning with her house. Theory number two Ya know in echo how gumi says Echo in the mirror. I think when gumi says mirror, I think she sees herself but with different people surrounding her. The "echo" she hear is the personalities rambling on and on but from far away, like an echo. Theory number three The excess number of hands you see in gumi in Echo are the hands of the personalities from Again. I don't remember if she had six hands or eight, but i know those are the hands of personalities she has. Ya know how in Again, the middle girl (presumably Gumi herself) she holds a lighter (i point this out once more) and the tv on her head in Echo are two different things. I assume that gumi managed to take the tv off her head (freeing herself from her countless personalities and being seperated from them) and grabs the lighter. In Again the emo looking personality holds her hand and puts her other hand around gumi (probably means to guide her into whatever the hell she isndoing) and the other has her arm crossed with gumis. She probably follows what gumi does while being insane so being controlled by someone being controlled. Hands matter alot because before they all were doing something one there own being together (cause you dont see the hands going all over the place like an arm in the air and the other inside of the shirt) now the hands struggle because balance has been lost (hence because gumi escaped them somehow.) I hope you understood my children as I now shall see myself out.
