I was listening to that song for years. I could relate to it even before I got my diagnosis. My life was a total chaos and I did often ended up in dangerous situations. Even tried to end my life seven times. That song made me stronger somehow and I felt like I could deal with everything while I listened to it. Since then I was put in a mental hospital, and are still under their care even though since over half year I'm not closed in there and can move freely. I got diagnosed with severe depression episodes, asperger, obsessive compulsive disorder and schizophrenia. I really feel much better now, but I want to thank the person who made that song, cause without it, idk what could have happened to me. It really made me stronger and I didn't feel like I'm the only one with such severe problems.

This isn't typically the kind of song that I'd listen to (I was led here by "Glass Wall"), but the lyrics are so captivating that I couldn't stop listening. I suffered from severe depression when I was younger and this is the first time I've ever heard someone put that experience into words; it brought me to tears. From reading some of the comments below, it seems like you've touched the hearts of many other people, too, which isn't something that's easily done. For what it's worth, I commend and thank you for bringing such a stunning musical piece into this world.

I'm someone who is drawn to music that's very disharmonic (The harmonies aren't melding together, but instead crashing and clashing). I actually love how this sounds, but I can also hear the chaos in it. Which is very interesting. I can hear the effects of what you're going through in the song, but that is why I love music. The person who writes it or makes it, puts themselves into it in some way. It makes it great and this song is.
@Reoni9 жыл бұрын
yeah im not really talented with harmonies lol anyways, thanks a lot, and I wrote and composed the song on my own when I was in my worst mood, that means I had a schizophrenic phase again. thanks so much c:

I heard this song first when I was severely depressed, paranoid and almost schizophrenic, my psychiatrist said he wasn't sure but I could have it. The lyrics described exactly how I was feeling and what was going on in my head. This song helped me explain what i was living everyday since i couldn't find the words. My condition improved a lot, and even if i had passed that horrible period I couldn't even hear it because it reminded me too much of my own experience, and I wanted to forget so badly. I'm now healed completely. I understand that that period is part of my life and my growth, and maybe I wouldn't be here if this song wasn't created. I can finally listen to it without having panic attacks and forcing myself to close it because it was too painful. I can simply listen and think "hey, look where i was then and look where i am now" so thanks. Thanks for helping saving myself.

I heard this song ages ago, and really disliked it. I've been going through the darker parts of the fandom recently because I'm a dark person or something idk. Things like suicide song, hardcore remixes of lost ones weeping, songs about depression, suicide etc. I found this song again, and now I love it. I don't want to sit here and have a stupid immature argument over whose problems are worse, but I've been going through hell recently and it's just scary to see how much I can relate to so many songs. Discovered this song when it came out during my vocaloid phase as a kid. I remember relating to it so much, and not even fully understanding it. Now being diagnosed as a child schizophrenic and having severe dissociation problems similar to DID, it makes so much more sense to me, lyrics make more sense listening again, this song is a masterpiece to me and I can't stop listening, and I never plan too. Thank you for making something that so accurately describes how I feel as someone with at least similar mental health issues.

Hi! it's been four-five years since I've listened to this song again, and I just rediscovered it and read the description. I'm so sorry people shit on you for the title. It doesn't make sense to me, but it must've been a horrible experience. I hope things are going better for you and that you still dabble in self-produced songs for no one but yourself!! I really treasured this song a lot when it came out, because not only did you use an engloid voicebank + have incredible tuning (esp in 2015!!), but also it was comforting to listen to such a beautifully disharmonious and "chaotic" song that I really felt mimicked the feeling of losing air, but in a relatable and comforting sense? I haven't been officially diagnosed or anything, but it just really helped me with processing emotions and refocusing myself when I felt such internal discord, and I'm ecstatic to have found this song again :)

I'd have to say the only thing you need to word on is the vocals for Gumi. Now, I've tried to make a vocaloid sing English before (it was Sonika), and it was hell to make her sound good. Maybe next time try to stick to breaking the syllables of the words into different notes so they are more crisp. Or, you could try doing Japanese, though that would be very hard to do if you don't know the language well. I'd also try to play with the vocal melody a bit more as well. The music was pretty good though: it sounded disjointed and a little chaotic, which really got the message across and was even catchy most of the time. And the graphics you used weren't bad at all. I'd say this was a great first song :)
@Reoni8 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment. If you havent checked yet, I have uploaded a japanese one and lots of others already. Also I guess I even tried breaking the syllables, but then I got lazy and replaced some with ''-'' (since there were too many tracks to work on). But I break the syllables in every VSQx I work on.

This song is really amazing! At first I thought that the name of the song is a metaphor for depression that strangles a person, but after reading the description I realized that everything is much more serious. I was always quite sensitive, so your song touched me. Our mind is the most difficult to treat. I had a relative suffering from schizophrenia, and I know that it is really hard. Because of this, it is still sad that many people believe that mental illness is cool and they diagnose these diseases on their own without visiting a doctor. I understand that many years have passed since the release of this song, so I hope that now everything is much better for you. Thank you for your great work!

The comments are back, so I'll say something. I first listened to this when I was at a VERY rough point in my life. I think I listened to this a lot to cope? I read your caption about how this is about you being diagnosed with schizophrenia and DID, and I think I latched onto that when I was younger. My ex-friend at the time also had both schizophrenia and DID, and I associated the song a lot with her despite how horrible she was to me. I'm 19 now, and since then, I've figured out I also have DID. The alter and host who listened to this song are long gone and probably won't be making any appearances for a while, but I listened to this a lot again after I found out about my disorder, and again, it helped me cope. It just makes me laugh a little, knowing that we were so close yet so far to figuring out our system. I hope you're doing okay; I know having DID is hard.

At the end of the song the words on the screen read "Rip Myself". As you live your life you change. Your body literally recycles cells and you become a different person. You may eventually forget the way you felt as a child and by following the system and rules set up by society you may even lose your sense of self. With your self missing you will seek and seek, but what you are looking for will always be out of reach. Suffocating reality isn't it, need a gas mask?

Heard this song for the first time a couple years ago and I'm still loving it with madness. It's understandable why many people would find it upsetting (but truth be told, there are much much more upsetting Vocaloid songs that have been up for nearly 10 years now). I find it *fascinating* and it makes a great job of expressing and telling a story of sorts.

First listening to this, I thought it was about a bullied person who finally hit their breaking point and attacked their bullies. The blue and red light that flashes sometimes only increased my thoughts. But I like the intended meaning more, which I read in the description after hearing the song for the first time. Though Gumi and Luka were a bit hard to understand / hear at some points (though that may just be me as hearing can be a bit of a problem sometimes), I very much enjoyed the song and can see myself listening to it at a later date. I hope my theory doesn't offend you Reoni (if you read this), or anyone else who happens upon this comment on a five-year-old video. lol

This song is amazing, oh my god, both the music and the lyrics. The subject you wrote about is one where there are lot's of misunderstandings about. Even though the lyrics are still rather vague (in a good way), I would definitely link this song when I'm trying to explain what Schizophrenia or/and MID is/are to people. The lyrics are just so good, omg. Great job on this song. It's amazing, I love it.

Lyrics: I don't know how life should Go on when there's no end. Even if I keep walking past The helping hand. Fearing where to go and Knowing my soul can't withstand Is breaking something in half... INSIDE MY BROKEN SELF. There might be a way to get out, Yet I didn't find out how, so I'll keep waiting for that door! And though my body starts to rot, and my mind's starting to chop, I'm still believing in the light! I've broken once and got up again! I've broken twice; it was the same. But, despite all that, I'm now reaching my end... Seems like... I cannot turn back! I don't know how I should Go on when there's no end. Even if I keep holding out The seeking hand. Not knowing where to go and Feelings my soul can't withstand. Words're breaking something in half. I SEE THEM CUT IN SKIN. The blood is dripping down the knife... *_"Why can't you just end your life?"_* A question which Keeps repeating. And now their body starts to rot, And their minds're starting to chop. I've lost my belief In the light...
