This video says 7 years ago, it makes me wonder how many dummys his bought till now?, and the sound of the kicks, the arms moving so fast, this is really something to watch to the end, this is for real, no sound effects or what so ever, such dicipline to see him, motives me to work just as hard as he does. His comitment is to respect, just wow!!!

I see what you're saying but actually more speed has greater penetration and I am hitting through and using my legs through my stance and centered punches. Chain punches do leave you somewhat open but the point is you already have the offensive advantage and already barraging them. You are still occupying your center allowing a counter at any time with sensitivity of rolling hands. A few punches here have more leg involvement but the key is always speed. Power is good IF it can hit the target.

well its the most recent style I tried since abou ta year and a half ago now. At firs it looked all for show and only good for improving body awareness, creative dodging and learning cool and flashy techniques that you can use in dancing and tricking. I found that some of it is pretty effective if you know how to initiate it correctly. Plus I sparred with the teacher multiple times and got hit by some pretty sneaky moves. Its kinda like drunken fist that way. Constantly moving and surprising!

Ninja Nate! I remember watching your nunchaku videos with a friend of mine like 8 years ago. Just found your channel again by chance. Good to see you're still training hard. You're one of the reasons I started martial arts 8 years ago and now I'm an assistant instructor of my martial arts school. I'm not nearly as good as you, though. I'm yet again humbled by your skill. What I've learned through some boxing and kickboxing lessons, is that when I sparred a real person who was skilled in the discipline, I had a hard time not getting punched back, whenever I (tried) to punch him/her. This was a result of me, not taking in consideration whilst shadowboxing, the fact that if I punch my opponent, that one of the most natural reactions is that he or she punches directly back as a reflex, after I've punched. With the Bob you are training, or a punching back for the matter, you do not get to train your timing, which is completely necessary (one of the most important things, next to having enough stamina and having the fortitude to endure enough punishment) in a real situation. You at least have to act as if the Bob or punching bag can fight back and train yourself to be better at imagining that the Bob or punching bag moves like a skilled fighter and can punch/kick back. Or else you're going to be pleasantly surprised lol! Whatever, moving a lil, is still better than not moving at all though.

Aikido is from 1920-1960 :) After 17 of practising I realised, that lowkick is a lowkick. In MT, Kyokushin or any other martial art, where full contact is involved. I have been in traditional martial arts for abouot 13 years and no one EVER said, that my kicks does not work. And I still spar with MMA guys. Bu yes, there are a lot of so called ''martial arts schools" where is no real full contact training. In that case everything they do is not very effective, not only kicks :)

Hmmm... I think those chain punches are not designed to knock someone out. It's a distraction and can be used to set up your power punches. I see system of attacks like a manual transmission of a car. Small gear - fast punches but lack power. Big gear - powerful ko punches but slow recovery to set up one after another.

for multiple kicks you just gotta drill it. I started doing multi kicks while holding on a wall, first 10 consecutive kicks then 25, 50, 100. Started doing increments of 100 kicks each leg 10 times. Then you can start doing the same without a wall. For Sidekicks to not get pushed back you also have do press in with your standing leg and make sure your foot is facing toes away from the bag. If you are pushing and extending with both legs and snapping with your hip in your side kicks making sure the foot is pointed opposite from the target then you should not be falling back. Good luck in your training. hope this helps!
