I played my senior recital years ago on a BB. It blew me away; the sustain was so long, I had to re-pedal some pieces! I joked with the tuner-rech that the "B" from a competitor was well-named; it was only half as good. He laughed and said there was a lot of truth in that...

Do not wait. I just purchased a "Pre-Owned" 1940 Model B in Satin Mahogany, original Ivory, etc. for under $5K including the move, subsequent tuning, regulating and voicing! It is So worth it ... A dream come true.

I remember testing out a Mason & Hamlin piano at TMEA once years ago. It had THE SMOOTHEST action I'd EVER experienced. The action was seriously so fluid and incredible that it felt like an extension of my own fingers instead of a separate instrument. Also, what is the name of that enchanting song played in the second half of this video?

I own a 1926 RBB M&H and it is impossible to "out play"... I had it rebuilt but not with Renner hammers. I find them too "metallic' in sound. It is a treasure to own a M&H BB!

I figure the biggest difference is going to be the WNG composite action that delivers more responsiveness and consistency. Otherwise it's rather similar, I doubt the scale design has changed much if at all.
