Since there was *proof* against Bugnini, the Pope should have demoted or defrocked him. A promotion is NOT a punishment. THE problem with the Roman Catholic Church, for centuries, has been *lax oversight* of priests, bishops and cardinals.

My mother seemed to know this, even the details in the 1970s-80s. It’s true she was a writer at The Remnant, but she must’ve learned it from another insider. I don’t think it was much of a secret. But I didn’t want to believe it was accurate. Knowing what I know now, from people I have known who were close to various bishops, knew administrators at “Catholic” institutions, and of course seeing Bergoglio in action, it’s too too obvious that my mom’s intel was totally correct in every exquisite detail.

There is reasonable doubt as to the election of Bergolio and the resignation of Benedict XVI but only those who can think critically and analytically know this, an ability you clearly lack, ditzy. Jeff Finkbonner, and here's me, waiting for your sharp philosophical points to round out this critical discussion. And we get something about humor. You never cease to amaze me. 😊 One important issue, THE issue and elephant in the room is the Society. Flanders' guest, Fr. Murr speaks of the subject in a completely different context than l've heard of before. "It's how things were done", (paraphrasing), gives me a picture of we the Faithful taking the rules of the hierarchy way more seriously than the hierarchy themselves. It appears obedience is a fluid entity. So has the Society been brought back into the good graces of Mother Church? It sounds like the hierarchy decides as they go, what is and what isn't acceptable.

Fr Murr is always entertaining. I'm glad that I listened to this until the end because Fr Murr mentioned Dr Paul Vitz from NYU. I went to an Opus Dei summer camp in 1990 with Paul Vitz's daughter, Jessica. I remember Jessica's story about how her parents had been atheists and that her mother wore a green dress when her parents were married. It was Paul Vitz's and his wife's oldest daughter who, as an adolescent, prompted them to question their atheism, ultimately leading them to the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. Deo Gratias.

I love listening to Fr. Murr. Having been born in 1932, I experienced much of which he recalls. "In God's Name" is a book to be read about the death of Pope John Paul I, too. Life in the aftermath of Vatican II was devastating in light of the Novus Ordo and errors abounding. No wonder there is so little faith today. We have fought for Tradition and the Holy Mass for over 50 some years, being very well aware of the involvement of Freemasonic activity through infiltration.

For all of the fans of JPII out there, think about how he approved the Freemason Baggio's choice of bishops, and the damage done by them in the dioceses they occupied, perhaps your own. Think of the example JPII gave when he kissed the Koran, and invited representatives of idolatrous religions to come to Assisi, in order to pray together. What do God and Belial have in common? Think of the wholesale destruction of church buildings, wreckovations, that took place in his pontificate? What did he did about any of it? Think about the heretics he should have excommunicated, and how he only excommunicated Archbishop Lefebvre, who by all accounts was a saintly man? Why can you not understand the evidence him? Why be in a stupor when faced with this matter?

A couple of weeks later the school principal came over the loud speaker and said, "We have a new pope, children. WE ARE SORRY HE IS NOT ANOTHER PIUS." Truer words were never spoken. Fr. Murr, an old friend, Debbie LeFave, now deceased, mentioned your name years ago in connection with an orphanage in Mexico. Surprising to hear you now, you who were just a name which for some reason I never forgot. Your account of John Paul I's death is riveting. David Yallop's book, "In God's Name," claiming that the pope had been murdered, makes a very poor case. Thank you for your true version.

Since the honor we pay the saints is in a certain sense a profession of faith, i.e., a belief in the glory of the saints, we must piously believe that in this matter also the judgment of the Church is not liable to error (Quodlib. IX, a. 16). Questioning the church’s indefectability are we?
@suea.spaulding74012 жыл бұрын
Paul VI most definitely should not have been canonized a Saint. He was a judas who betrayed the true Church of Jesus Christ.
@nOPE-fs3du2 жыл бұрын
@@anthonyschu5834 Error? Indefectibility? What parts of a canonization are not liable to error? No theologian and even the Church has ever said canonization is infallible when determining heroic virtue, miracles, and if the person is a good model for the faithful. None. Period. Canonization is infallible in the negative sense, restricted only to people being in heaven. It does not mean the person canonized is free from issues. It doesn't mean the canonization was prudent in the first place. It doesn't mean they had heroic virtue, performed miracles, and are a good model for the faithful to read about and imitate in their lives. This means Kv Urquidi can wonder about the canonizations and not call into question the indefectibility of the Church, because canonization is limited in what error it is protected from. JPII and Paul VI may be in heaven, but that doesn't mean they should be elevated to a status for the faithful to imitate and look to as models of virtues. THAT is the point. So appealing to authority with tired arguments about "indefectibility" without actually engaging in the public damage and scandal to the faith these Popes caused (without public repentance) is a 5th rate argumentation.

Rabbi David Dalin wrote a book called The Myth of Hitler's Pope, defending Pope Pius II. Will show u how to defend the Pope against the vile slander of his name.

Great reference Fr. Murr…James Thurber. His short story, “The Catbird Seat” was required reading in college. Hilarious!

A quote you may not think inappropriate for angels : ' Of the depth of their spiritual experiences, they had little to say; - but their every action showed a standard of values that turns the world upside down : it was their humility , their gentleness , their heart-breaking courtesy that was the seal of their sanctity to their contemporaries - far beyond abstinence , miracle or sign . ' (I also suggest a first edition copy of Malachi Martin's 'Hostage to the devil' wouldn't be unappreciated by Fr. Murr - after Malachi's passing on , the next edition put his 'epilogue' to the exorcisms at the front of the book rather than the rear - so complicating the reader's level-headedness even more that the true cases themselves will . . . ) vincit Omnia Veritas

I have read both books and they are VERY worth reading. I find Muir difficult to listen to since he tends to go off subject and drags out a point too long. He is a voice worth listening to.

The Faith, eh? I live in a remote area of Québec (the Abitibi) where the Romish faith and its Church is closing down, with no real remorse or sense of responsability surrendered. In this diocese the village churches in the area surrounding Rouyn Noranda are closed. In the city itself, only two parishes remain active. The clergy is resolutely opposed to any trace of the Latin Mass. The Novus Ordo is crushingly trivial, enacted sloppily with childish music, and lack of any liturgical variety from one date of the Church Kalendar to the next. THe preaching is drivel. I've reverted to my childhood Lutheranism. There is no Lutheran presence here, but that's no worse than the ANTI-Catholic "work" of this gawdforsaken diocese.
