I’ve been a Mason most of my adult life and I’m a past Master. After meetings, we might go somewhere and share a cold adult beverage and fellowship. Promoting drinking in the Blue lodges was always being taboo. Now it seems to be a regular ongoing promotion of consuming alcohol. This needs to stop. That not who we are and it is not cool

No one should be forced to drink, but this seems like a silly and arbitrary thing to be upset about. If brothers want to drink, let them drink. Cant imagine why anyone would want something so arbitrary to be taboo

@@JeffreyPhillipsFreeman no it s not.... individuals have be asked to leave Texas Grand Lodge for drinking and promoting drinking. It not cool and it not who we are. go to the shrine if you want to drink - Not in the blue lodge. I have even seen masons place our mark on liquor bottle to promote their adult beverage. Again, not cool and its not who we are

Brother, Freemasonry was started in a bar and a festive board/table lodge is very much a part of the lodge meetings in most countries. Only in America is drinking considered a taboo in lodge and that's only because of prohibition and the anti Masonic period in the United States. Do some research and learn about how the majority of the world practices masonry. You'll find lodges that have entire drinking clubs overseas

@@JerrySwoboda ok. How am I wrong? Are you not familiar with the goose and gridiron pub that freemasonry started in? Also my mother lodge is in the United States but I live overseas and I'm a member of quite a different jurisdictions and I can promise you we have alcohol in all of our meetings
