Impressive! These are good for any big game in America even dangerous game. Thank you for giving these some exposure. I appreciate the handloading option & vids. They seemed plenty accurate as well.

Flat Point: 2,868 foot pounds of energy.. I believe this would work on Elk or Moose, esp. considering the penetration. Keeping in mind the range limitations of a bullet with this ballistic coefficient.

Thanks for the video, it's great. I love carbine length rifles, even with up to a 20" barrel. Honestly though, I'm very much a fan of a 45-70 with a 22" barrel, it really picks up a lot of speed. I'd love shooting those CPS bullets about 2300+ fps in my next 45-70 rifle having a 22" barrel. My go-to bullets have usually been 405 gr. hard cast lead bullets and the Xtreme Penetrators from Lehigh and Underwood. Hopefully Wilson will keep those going! Thanks again.

1900 fps is impressive for a 350gr out of a 16" bbl and penetration and expansion are optimal. I would like to load these for my 18" bbl 1895gs guide gun. I'm going to look into 35 caliber offerings to load for my 35 Whelen also.

The 350SS works super in my 458 at 2500fps. Have also loaded the 350cps to the same speed. Will be interesting to see the effect on game.

Too bad you cant get the speer 400gr anymore. Recoil wasn't bad at around 1900fps. Penetration & expansion was good. Northfork looks like they make quality bullets. Always enjoy your videos. Good work!

… the Barnes reloading manual would probably give you a good basis for conjecture of starting loads for mono metal bullets

Its ok to share load data. KZbin just doesn’t like it if you show from start to finish. Every step. For some reason. But you can show tips and tricks..

You might try contacting north fork to see if they could help you get some load data for those cps bullets
@Gunnut10mm7 ай бұрын
I wonder if the CPS is designed for other .458 caliber rifle velocities, if it's optimized for .458 Lott you were really low on the velocity scale.
@johnnorman77087 ай бұрын
Those bullets did pretty decent as loaded. And you probably have a little room to speed them up. Big bores are forgiving inasmuch that they work well at fairly moderate speeds.

Hi would you recommend a 30-06 vs a 300 win mag for whitetail deer within 150 yards and which would leave a bigger more effective wound cavity

If you can, it'd be interesting to see solid bullets in all the calibers like fmj 556, fmj 3030 so we have a base to compare with. Also, pls add a 357 lever gun thanks for the best videos

Thanks for your support! Good enough to hit the blocks, I don’t “group test” when I film ballistics gel tests. The biggest variable by far is the person shooting,
@coldandaloof71667 ай бұрын
I have no doubt you can break the 2000 fps mark too! Or your collar bone along with it lol. My experience with my guide gun is that it can take much more pressure with hot 45/70 than I can lol. I have found keeping my 300 gr. JHP handloads in the 1800fps range out of my 18" barrel gives me good performance on deer and black bear. I have a bear load worked up with 405gr hard cast if I ever get the chance to go out west and find a grizz. But the company shpuld really provide load data dpr thier bullets if its not readily available in manuals. Im sure they did yhier own testing of thier product. Juat including the load data on the box when they ship the bullets would not be that hard.

Odd that North Fork does not supply load data

That’s my biggest criticism, especially with the more unique bullet types they manufacture.
