First time mower owner. After an hour trying to decipher the manual, had it ready to go after your 13 minute video. Lifesaver

Thanks for making this video. I purchased one today, it's still in the box. The price has gone up to $544 since you bought yours. I've had my last mower with a Briggs and Stratton engine for 38 years. It still runs well.

I bought one of these in November 2022. It was $549, $100 more than this one you reviewed a year earlier. Also I cannot find any made in the USA on it. It always starts first pull though so my only regret is not buying it a year earlier!

Good vid sir. A couple of things to think about, first, try not to fold your handles unless absolutely necessary, the cable/s don’t like it and will kink eventually. And if it has that dubious just check and add ‘ feature ‘ for the oil, ignore it and do regular oil changes. You will prolong the engine’s life for the minimal cost of new oil. I do oil changes twice a year, or about 20 hour intervals. This removes any contaminants like engine metal and dirt, and ensures clean oil in the engine for the majority of the running time.

i bought a 460 in the middle of december 2020. it's one of those self priming jobs. followed the instructions to the letter, started on the second pull with the throttle half way and purred like a kitten. it did this for like the first 3 months. 10 months later it's an absolute cow to start and doesn't start or stay running unless the throttle is on full. it takes 15-20 pulls to start it and i've made sure everything is good each time i've used it. my last mower was a masport and i owned it for over a decade. it was brilliant and never missed a beat unlike this piece of crap.

that's not good but it has a 5 year warranty. So back to Bunnings.

Be aware that the catcher falls apart after a while , especially if you cut thick wet or damp grass. I have braced the catcher with metal brackets. Also it’s got no rev , it’s seriously governed so it does not rev enough to get through thicker taller grass. Good for people who cut their lawn on very regular basis at the same length.

Hey Dan good video mate, I'm in NSW and I just bought myself this mower over the weekend from Bunnings. Paid $549 for it. Such a great mower was very easy to assemble (basically nothing to assemble except the two pieces of the catcher). It purrs like a dream, I mow my lawn on level 3 and it brings it up looking like a bowling green. it's also fairly lightweight and easy to push and turn around too you can literally FEEL how lightweight it is. This is the first masport mower i've ever owned. I had a Morrison Rocket which I got 12 wonderful years out of but unfortunately had to retire it due to the chassis rusting out... I think that was partly my fault from mowing in the wet all the time. I got a maintenance question for you too, regarding where the air filter is inside that metal cage do you have to undo the bolts in order to get to where the air filter is ? i'm just asking for future reference in case I find myself needing to clean it out or replace it. Thanks.

The plastic catcher looks dodgy as hell, and I've read lots of bad reviews about the wheels seizing. $529 at Bunnings
@toolmandan10566 ай бұрын
I have had it for 3 years now and its still going strong. Unfortunately the price has raised. The catcher looks weak but hasn’t broke yet.

I think they are charging $499 now.Whats the Build Quality like..? I have read its better than similar Victa mowers.? I bought the last production Victa 2 Stroke Mower which is a great machine.Yours is a steel deck so you must remove all grass from the underside after each mow and then spray with WD40 which inhibits rust and stops grass from sticking or use the used left over oil from your oilchange and just paint it on....Your deck will last forever.!

Rediculous, if you checked how much oil was required in the instructions it would have taken seconds to do not your rediculous way. Cutting grass that doesn't need cutting and is greatly dirt is not a demonstration. Waste of time
