Game has a weird set of priorities, depending on which two squadmates you bring with you, game determines who should speak- though they all have a line for each situation. This one is really easy though, since obviously EDI isn't going to be commenting her own malfunction squadmate 2 is always the right choice.

***** I have a 360. I also have a Gamecube, Wii, N64, PS2, Dreamcast, Saturn, Genesis, Sega CD, 32X, Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, DS, 3DS, PSP, and a Game Gear. I don't give a shit who makes the system or what other people think of them. I get them for the games I want to play. I got a Wii U for Wonderful 101, Wind Waker HD, Super Mario 3D World, Sonic Lost World, Bayonetta 2, X, Lego City Undercover, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Shin Megami Tensei vs Fire Emblem, etc. You know, all the games that you can't get on a 360 or PS3. If it weren't for the fact that ME3 was $10 for the Wii U I probably wouldn't have gotten it and never played any of the Mass Effect games. I didn't see them as worth the $40+ investment at the time not knowing if I'd like them or not. I have since gotten the trilogy for my PC. That doesn't mean it's ok for EA to give a middle finger to fans when it comes to simply releasing content that was already completed and finished. There's no reason not to release it, the development costs are already taken care of, it would simply be adding content to game engine that has already been ported. There shouldn't be any additional development involved whatsoever. Honestly if all the DLC was there the Wii U version would be the definitive Console version thanks to the gamepad functions. It allows you to set up to 8 additional virtual buttons for your characters powers and your squadmates powers on the touch screen. You don't have to pause and bring up a menu to select other powers, you can just use them on the fly. The map is always up on the touch screen and shows enemy positions in real time. It also allows you to reposition your squadmates in real time which makes it very useful.

Actually, from an Indie developer standpoint, it's ridiculously difficult to port games to other consoles. Even developing DLC with all consoles in mind, it can take up to 1/10th of the time that it takes to develop the content actually porting the content, which is a lot (for a 6-month long project it could take 3-4 weeks and that much more money just to port, and for diminished return on the Wii U's market). But yeah, it's shitty of them to choose not to port the DLC based on projected sales, and not based on pleasing the fans. Fuck EA mate.

Cömmåndêr Bentley The game engine is already ported. That's what makes it rather silly. If you're engine is designed with good programming design concepts it shouldn't matter if I throw the new data at the Wii U version or the PC version. The engine should be able to read it and make it run. Data should never be platform specific like that. Really all DLC should include is the script files that tell the game engine what to do and any new assets, be it textures, models, or audio. None of that should be platform specific and require porting. The scripting language in a well designed program/engine should be universal. It shouldn't care if it's running on one platform or another. It should just be read and work. You're not writing it for a specific platform at that point, you're writing it for the scripting language that is being read by the engine you designed and wrote yourself. The assets should again be universal unless one platform requires textures or audio to be in a different format. Which again after you've ported the main game over you should already have accounted for that either in the engine itself or you should already have the tools at your disposal to do the conversions for you. Yeah the main porting is hard, I'm not denying that. But in this situation that part is already over and done with. At this point you're just dealing with data that's already in a finished state for 3 platforms. If that requires tons of effort to port, then somewhere along the lines you've messed up in your engine design. Yes, there is the case that you could run into performance issues if you have assets that are too demanding for one platform or your script is doing too much stuff for one platform to keep up. But in this case they already have lower quality versions of assets and scripts for the 360 and PS3 versions. They could easily just use those. Not trying to discredit you or anything, but I develop software too. And from a basic programming stand point your program's data should never be platform specific if you're aim is to release on multiple platforms.
