Alternative theory: This isn't one of the 'bad' Jardaan. It's one of the 'good' ones that stayed behind. It just thinks this iteration of the Heleus cluster is a failed experiment, especially now that it's contaminated by outside variables, and wants to wipe the slate clean to start over. We organics overlay emotions like despair and hatred onto it, but that's just us anthropomorphizing more alien desires.

If I remember correctly that if you give the AI to the Angarans you find out on the final mission to take down the Archon that the AI has started working with and helping the Angara. It's been awhile since I completed a play through, but I'm pretty sure the AI calms down a bit in that scenario

Agree with u on the Jardaans being AI. The Jardaans download in the Angara body. Proof, the angara have memories of previous lives and their electric biotic thing they do. Also don’t really think the Jardaans really left they just download themselves in Angara body

I've wondering about this topic since the game came out and wondering why no one made a video about it. So thanks that you did, also great video. It's good enough that I must admit I have to point out a few things on this topic and the Jardan. 1. We know that Voeld used to be an mostly ocean, definitely gorgeous world from talking to the NPCs on Voeld and Aya. We also know it was indeed like the when the Arks left the "Mwilky-Way", as Jaal would say. Thus, we can conclude that Voeld became an Icy planet after the Angarans were created and specifically, sometimes after their fall. We can also assume that it was like that due to the Vaults not properly working. 2. "The Opposition" of the Jardaan released a weapon, most likely the scourge, and the Jardaan separated the Meridian. And due to that, the terraforming networks, the vaults, couldn't be controlled as they weren't working properly, as we see in MEA. From the above two points, we can surmise that, wherever the Jardaan may have "gone", they weren't able to control the vaults or the vaults weren't maintained administratively enough to work on simulated experiments, as mentioned in the video. And so the AI that was found in the Icy Voeld, was from Ocean Voeld. There's a non-zero chance it might be Jardaan tech, but again, taking everything previously mentioned in account, it was most likely an Angaran creation.

The opposition of Jardaan was Jheln, who created scourge, and probably was the reason why they left the cluster. The question is what happened and why? What's was Jardaan really doing that someone decided to basically destroy every habitable planet in the cluster and confine space faring?

This is super interesting! If true, it almost begs the question of who created the Jardaan?….they’re basically the Starchild equivalent of Andromeda I always assumed the Jardaan were actually the Angara from before their “rediscovery of space flight” after the Scourge. The Jardaan basically found a way to become immortal by transferring consciousness from vessel to vessel (think the Zha’til that Javik refers to). Some didn’t like the “playing God” route and destroyed everything…resulting in the Angara not having any records from pre-Scourge

The AI on Voeld as the Jardaan anti-Shepard, frozen in isolation? Well, it resonates weirdly with the teaser trailer. I had a feeling that Mass Effect: Andromeda could be seen as a sort of ideological mirror of Mass Effect, with the organics trying to overpower their synthetic creators.What if there is an inverse extinction cycle in Andromeda, with the organic Kett Race cleaning up synthetic civilizations and absorbing organics capable of creating AIs and thus resurrecting the ancient menace of the Jardaan? Suddenly, you can understand the motives of the AI. Like Shepard, they want to stop the cycle. They witness the cycle continues, but there might be a chance with SAM and the synthesized organic they meet with. I wonder if that was the plan of the Andromeda creators or if they saw the potential.

I've came to the same resolution after watching your Jardaan Ascent, I may buy guardians of the galaxy just for rocket hes one of favorite marvel characters, I also wonder who created the jardaan and did they destroy their original creators?

I think they did kill their creators but kept the genetics of their creatures stored somewhere & eventually grew them in tanks so they could understand their god, in a sense. Hence, the Angara.

You're dead-on about the Jardaan. The writers left enough breadcrumbs to extrapolate a purpose. The Jardaan were an AI race that knew the ultimate conflict between synths and organics. They were building an Eden in Heleus and designing a host species to live with. I'll go so far to say that the Kett were a reject of the Jardaan that long forgot their origin. Their religion is to become the perfect genetic host to one day be reunited with their creators. Other breadcrumbs: SAM's origins are a bit murky. Jein Garson is "dead" the second she arrives the Milky Way... Alec B-lines to the vault, cuts through Kett like he's a seen them before, and knows exactly what to do with the vault. The Geth had an interest in Heleus.

@@EndymionTv I have to agree. Somewhere on the internet is written that Jardaans are most likely a type 2 civilization on Kardashev scale. However, to create life, terraform planets (or even create them) you'd need much more energy than whatever Protheans ever had (also, considering the scourge was used as a weapon against them, which is pretty much an interstellar weapon, we may assume Jaardans were on the same level as their enemies, Jheln). Also, Protheans' progress was still directed by reapers, so they'd never get this far. What Andromeda gave us (even though very secretly) are at least 2 type 3 races, which is far beyond Leviathans and Reapers.
