I used this just now to breeze through Insanity, only difference I did (for the final level) was develop a Piranha shotgun with Tech Recharge, Bio-Converter and Plasma Seek - Incinerate, Charge, go mad with the Piranha. No one stood a chance. Use the Cobra RPG to make short work of the final boss, only need 3-4 on you.

This build is great. It's truly making Insanity a breeze. I've died a few times when I get careless, but when I'm focused there's no stopping me. However, watching you...you're doing more damage per shot than I am, I couldn't take down those Krogan Behemoths that fast, and I followed your build to the letter. The ONLY difference for me, is that I didn't know your AVP didn't carry over to NG+ so I don't have the 5th Augmentation slot, so I have a Dhan VIII with 3 Kinetic Coils and the Bio Converter, and I'm using Tactical Cloak instead of Turbocharger, as it it gives me time to breath when overwhelmed and to get behind enemies to get the upper hand. I certainly have the benefits, they're very apparent, you're just pushing a lot more damage than I am (but i have a hard time believing another 2% Damage in the lack of one kinetic coil is the cause).

I've gotten to the point where I basically don't use my guns. Biotics get crazy fast recharge and huge damage. Coupled with the Asari Sword, you end up swinging into the battle and wrecking enemies before they have a chance to hit you. If they do hit you? Charge em. Max shields again, plus they take big damage. Using the explorer profile, you warp dodge out of just about any danger. The only thing that gives me any difficulty is those damned ascended. I keep a sniper rifle in my loadout just for them.

I unlocked the bio weapon mod but it doesn't show up in my augments list when developing a weapon. It's not on any weapon I created .

I started out playing on normal and found it was a bit too easy - not to insult anyone playing normal or below, there's still challenge there and hell, not everyone plays for the combat experience anyway. I started out with a pretty standard old fashioned biotic - throw, pull, singularity, all N7 armor, initially SMGs then later assault rifles, switching between an electrical PAW and a Vintage Heat Sink Valkyrie. When I worked out profiles, I started switching around between setups including Backlash, Annihilation, Shockwave and Charge, changing between Adept and Vanguard, and made a Dhan and Asari Sword for close combat. The profile switching was very flexible and enjoyable but having a single-setup sounds more relaxing! I noticed there are quite a few melee specific choices in this build but no melee combat - was this just for entertainment factor/having a backup weapon? The choice in Combat Tools between melee and Aeriel combat, for instance, is that a tactical choice or a "they're both not super, I'll go with this one!" choice? Anyway, I'm starting an NG+ game and I'm going to give this a try because the dancing around the battlefield looks like a lot of fun, was certainly something I enjoyed when I was switching away from my more traditional space mage build.

I've been playing it for a couple of hours now, sadly don't have enough augs to make a new Dahn so I'm using my old heat sinked one, and the melee is handy when I overheat. Still planning on making the spec-based one later but another highlight of this build so far has been its flexibility whilst I gather upgrades.

Apparently some of the side quest items get transferred over when you pick new game plus and can causes some issues with the NPCs/Quests involved. From what I read from one post the "Movie Night" items get transferred over and break the NPC Scripts

It's not, if you've done that quest line, and NG+ your game, the items come over, and the scripts break when the time comes, 100% of the time. Dozens, if not hundreds, of videos showing this between Twitch and KZbin by now.

change incinereta with tactical cloack... and use a Pirana. you can do insanity solo i mean with your squad dead...

Yeah, it stucks on each other like creazy.... Also i put the HOVER dmg augment on my pirana, so i biotic charge in an enemy with my turbocharge on, quickly jump hover and cloack and start shooting. It is the most efficient way to kill any Hydra, Destroyer in the game. Only need about 3 clips on insanity, and once you know how to do it it comes natural...

I just run around using Incinerate - Energy Dragin - Annihilation field. Lift on the field, makes the game easy mode + the constant combo effects :p, also using the hornet because its basically a AR.

Or go straight remnant armor with An all biotic person mixef with melee and build skills towards regeneration on use and the shieldings. You're pretty much unkillable. Guns aren't needed.

The extra augment is from opening a cryo pod. Either science or commercial not sure

Apparently armor only has the prerequisite of the previous armor to be crafted, level doesn't matter unlike the weapons tab.

Zach Prewitt every build is viable my first playthrough was on insanity and I switched my build like ten times all of them were viable. The hard part is until level 20 after that with skills and good weapons it's not hard.

Question, whats your reason for using N7 armor vs the Angaran Guerrilla armor? N7 gives Biotic power damage and you don't use any biotics other than charge and it isn't used as a method of high damage. Angaran gives Tech Power Damage and Tech Duration.

Damn that was a fast reply! Where do I get all of the research for getting these blueprints though? I've tried googling it and I keep finding amateur blog posts that don't give any useful information. And also, how do I get the Rank 10 variant of the armor? My research only goes up to 5.

Alright I'm still fairly early in my Insanity playthrough so I'll be sure to keep the scanner out often. What about the Rank 10 armor? Mine only goes up to 5 in the research tab. Does that get unlocked as well as I progress because I'm level 31 and still only have rank 5.

C130s you can buy a +2 augmentation mod at the nexus merchant. Put it in as a mod and you will have 4. 👍

I got it at around level 40, seems to be a bug... there is no level requirement on the chest armour, all other armour pieces have level requirements.

I think the reason for it is because it is high dmg + when you use charge you do a fire combo detonation for more damage.
