Javik: We could not allow the machines to surpass us, it was decided the only way to win was to unite all organic life within our empire. Shepard/Liara: Did it work? Javik: For a time, the "Metacon War," we were turning the tide…until the Reapers arrived, then we understood machines had surpassed us long ago in ways we could never imagine.

Can't be taken out of the equation really. Reapers are known to start wars within Milky Way to soften up the resistance. Like with the Rachni. Then again, it's all pure speculation.​@@strider117aldo9

1:06 Holy crap so many dialogue options are fucking binary. The more I watch of these videos, the more frustrated I get seeing only two opposing options. When they first described the move from Paragon/Renegade to the "tones" system, I thought we were going to get more dialogue options to express a wider variety of those tones, but they actually just stripped out the usual third, neutral-ish option, and replaced the "Nice guy" and "Asshole" options with equally opposing and equally binary responses. 2:06 I was hoping most dialogue wheels would look something like this, 4 responses minimum to choose from. But in every 10 dialogue wheels I've seen from Andromeda footage, 9 have been binary.

You recall ME2 if you ever played it? Plenty of binary options, but way better than the agonizingly samey trinary dialog in 1. That said, more quadruple dialog would be nice.

Are you familiar with Tomodachi Life? A very strange game and when I hear SAM I only hear the voices of those characters and I can't stand it 😭

I would very much prefer EDI in my ear with her little corny jokes than boring SAM(here's hoping I can find some character or humor augment for SAM somewhere in the game... That... was a joke..., Quoting what EDI said to legion, I say to SAM, "I see your humor heuristic still lack an expert system"). I cant imagine having him in my ear for the entire game, OMG even Kaidan is not as monotonous as this. To the people who complained that EDI is too overboard and sexy, well congratulations, now you have SAM. Have yet to form an opinion on the rest of the crew, PeeBee seems like lots of fun... Definitely looking forward to the game.
