I love Liam. There, I said it. He's not perfect, he oftentimes sticks his foot in his mouth, he's struggling to adapt, and he's a giant movie nerd, but that's what I like about him. He's so earnest and he gets so excited by everything he sees! It's like being the Doctor traveling the universe with a brand new companion -- everything looks fresh! Liam's not for everyone and that's completely fine, and yes, the writers could've added more content and reworked a few lines (especially some Nomad dialogue), but I enjoyed him as a character and more importantly, so did my Ryder. She found love in her best friend and her strongest supporter. Having someone at your side who asks you how you're doing, believes in you and what you're trying to do wholeheartedly, and helps you to keep seeing the amazingness around you so you don't lose yourself to your grief and duties -- yep, I'm happy with my selection.

ELizB Honestly when he isn't shit talking on the nomad, I love him. Even romanced him and was disappointed by the lack of more content. I just hate how they wrote his banter on the Nomad. I think that's why people hate him, especially since he was an asshole to Vetra, who I also love. I love all characters honestly.

Well sure he is sweet or friendly to the pathfinder. But in squad banter he can be aggressively rude or judgmental to squadmates like Peebee, Cora and Vetra. He also has his moments with Jaal, and Drack doesn't even give him a chance to get uppity. But even without that negative, he can be a little bit... bland... at times. Not always though. Although he does have the best loyalty mission.

Not the only one. I like him to. I don't get the outright hatred. He may not always think things through, but his heart is always in the right place AND he's even fully capable of admitting when he's made a mistake or put his foot in his mouth (a trait I doubt many of his haters have). Plus, his enthusiasm is just so infectious.

Despite the hate from almost everyone, I still like Liam, flaws and all. He's frustrating, yet adorkable, he's too eager but extremely sweet. And the fact that he looks hot shirtless is mostly that won me over, I know that I'm shallow and proud of it. ^_^Well anyway, thank you very much Llama-sama for putting Liam's romance scene despite the hate from some of the viewers. Though I wish it was a different Sarah, cause it makes me feel like she is cheating on Jaal. O_O
