She got me 100 toxin filters... i bet Joker wasn’t happy about that because these are pretty expensive

If you require filters to exist outside your home environment, then perhaps that's evolution telling you to stay put. Then again, I cannot expect rational thought from a species that resorted to genocide over a philosophical robot.

Joker needs a raise - and a massive bonus - if a car bankrupts him. Sure more it's prohibitively expensive for 99% of the population maybe, but this is the pilot of the Normandy. He should be reimbursed for every penny he spends and then some.

To be fair, it was a very high-end model and probably also was built to some degree for the luxury market with the attendance added cost, and EDI is used to operating on a very high budget with parameters of quality mattering a hell of a lot more than affordability. She didn't pick Mattocks for the SR-2 squad because she thought they would be a bargain, but because she felt it was a proven and effective technology to fill a different niche in Shepard's loadout. Essentially, she's so used to preparing for Shepard's suicide mission or the scale of wartime economics that she doesn't really get the limitations of personal economics... that, and to be fair do we even know how well the SA pays its marines?

@@Luke_Danger Oh I know, I get all that. I was trying to say that he is the pilot of the single most important ship in the galaxy. The Council should just reimburse him for anything he buys, because he has earned that much.

It's been a while since i played the old trilogy, and haven't made my way to 3 in the LE, but i think that's where the scene ends.

I don't object to A.I systems, but I'd rather they remain obedient to their masters. A robot uprising is one of the most common human extinction event in the multiverse.

IRL plot twist: pop sci-fi is completely wrong, and in the actual multiverse sentient AI is consistently the key to achieving utopia. Afterall, humanity's track-record at self-rule is pretty terrible.

@@CyberController- Simple question, why? Are you really so pride, so full of hubris, that you think that "humans are above all other things?" On our planet, sure, but what about the rest of the univers?? We know next to nothing about it(yes, i know, we have some simulations and some mathematical expressions, who fits the data we actually have, but still it's nothing). Given our history, our petty squables about small differences... If anything, so sophisticated AI as EDI or GETH would give little crap about us if we won't attack... Why should they bother? In comparison with them, we are very limited and inconsequential... If we will find way, how humans can live, let's say 200 years at average(some advanced drug and/or genetic therapy) still, AI can live(or more precise term would be "can exists") practically forever. If humanity is really doomed it will be our doing(nuclear warfare, chemical warfare etc.) and not some "outside" force. We will kill ourselves, and it will happen if we won't find way how ALL OF US can coexist. No stupid arguin about color of the skin, or about men/women, or about really old fairy tales, that may or may not happened. And even if they did, it's still MORE than possible, that "writings" left after are either LARGELY exaggerated or just misunderstood. Our species as it is now, will sooner or later collaps. As of now, we are just a petty society, with nothing interesting to show.

I tried to tacitly make the point that our one and only frame of reference on the consequences of sentient AI is science *fiction,* but I seem to have failed. Also, I see now that OP is doing a totally-not-robots bit.
