I’ve never played the games, but even I know that, there are great in-depth lore channels that make me wish I wasn’t such a chicken when it came to horror games. The sad part is that there was such care and attention to detail in these games. The symbolism is deep and really well thought out. Just why make do a remake if you are not going to make a faithful adaptation? They do this all the time take a beloved game, tv or books series and make it worse? What is the point?

So if a game has lots of swearing and that offends you, then you can avoid the game if the rating says there is tons of swearing in the game. IT's a guideline to help you avoid content that offends you. But as an adult you have the right to buy whatever you want whether or not its offensive. The ratings only stop CHILDREN buying games that they are not old enough to see since children are not adults. (stores are supposed to prevent them buying it and ask the child to get their parent's permission but many don't do it because they want the sale) But as we all know kids end up having bad parents buying them R rated stuff like Grand Theft Auto anyway and then those parents end up wondering why their kids are so dysfunctional. :P The point is: ratings are to inform you and are guidelines to help you, not laws. The adult is allowed to buy what they want. The censorship is unecessary and only the actions of political activists trying to ruin our entertainment for propaganda purposes. These are the same people involved in the gamergate scandal all those years ago (they paid reviewers to give them high scores for bad games and got caught doing this) and this is one way they think they can get revenge us gamers. A way of representing the MC’s guilt over his sexual desires that were repressed while his wife struggled with terminal illness and his guilt at having those desires at all. Hit Detection’s website says they worked on Alan Wake 2 and weirdly enough Sonic Frontiers. That one is a shock given that game actually has a good story that doesn’t demean the male characters to prop up the female ones. Although that might have to do with what the game’s main writer Ian Flynn confirmed. He stated that when he wrote the story and script Sonic Team back in Japan had the absolute final say so in terms of what gets approved just like with the comics he writes for IDW.

I was already on the fence about buying a PS5 when it was announced, then I decided to wait cuz my PS4 worked perfectly fine for me, then the pandemic hit. The fact that those consultants aren't able to properly help the developers for a remake, is all the proof you need to never hire them. Silent Hill city in SH2 is different for each person. Laura for instance (the little girl) sees no monsters, because she's innocent and pure. The monsters James (the MC) sees represent his internal trauma. Changing those monsters, thus, means changing and destroying the entire point of the game. Any enthusiast of the game could have told you that, but those consultants can't. Dude, they won't be able to do MGS3 so easily... those of us who love the game already own it on PS2, PS3, 3DS, PS VITA, or emulate one of those on PC already. The moment Konami drops an adulterated MGS3 trailer, my PS VITA comes out again, and there's NOTHING Konami can do about it.

this whole thing about the Consulting Firm is surreal. Because they are saying that they know what players want and can predict the needs of their consumers yet all of these games that are coming out pushing DEI suck and are falling flat. So therefore these consulting firms should be fired, and they should find other lines of work
