He said that if there are genuine asylum seekers, then they full filled the asylum status at the first safe county they arrived at. They are clearly being taken advantage of and come with the assumption that the countries receiving them have the physical resources to offer them aid. There are 300,000 homeless people in the UK, many of them are migrants themselves. If we can't help them, why does the UN think it is OK to take on even more people and push more people already here into homelessness. I get it that it is a great Ideal to have, but it just isn't practical. No one country can just take care of the whole world, we need to put pressure on these people to stay where they are and solve their problems, not just run away, or it will never get better in those places.

What sickens me about French is that the police aren't allowed to "interfere". Media made a video of French police on the beach filming the human smugglars dropping migrants off, then back to their vehicles and driving away! The migrants went into the water to climb on, so no way to puncture them. The entire thing was disgusting to watch.
