*Hey, guys! I just wanted to say a few things about this battle. First off in the begging of the battle I call Saxony "Austria" their flag is somewhat similar, and the map is called "Austrian Map". So I get a little mixed up, but I do correct myself later on in the video. The last thing I want to mention is that there are points on the map. You see the stars on the mini-map? You have to capture and hold these stars to get points. Whoever gets the most points win. This will make players more aggressive, and make players fight all over the battlefield. If you're a Napoleonic and total war fan you really haven't lived until you've played this mod!! More ntw3 mod videos please Apollo! Btw the stars on the map are the LOC (Line of Communication) points for those who want to play timed LOC battles where teams have to take the most points before the timer runs out to gain a victory. You don't need to uninstall ntw3 mod to play vanilla, there's an option in the launcher that restores vanilla files.

At about this time, I don't believe the opposing german units would call themselves brethren. You have the KGL part of British Hannover, roughly West of Prussia while you have Saxony a kingdom located to the South of Prussia. It is important to remember that these german states back before Prussia's wars of unification were very nationalistic about their separate kingdoms. This includes Prussia, Hannover, Hesse, Saxony, Berg, Wurttemburg, Baden, and Bavaria, to name a few.

Austria was an empire during this era and yeah Austria was and still is separate from Germany

Austria and Prussia were the two big opponents during the 18th and 19th century, battling for leadership over the german speaking countries. The end came with Prussia's victory in the war of 1866. Yet Austrians felt like being german (especially because the Austrian-Hungarian monarchy was a state with lots of different nations and cultures; german, slavic, hungarian, etc.). Well, at least the german speaking Austrians felt german and they ruffly inhabited (and still inhabit) the area of nowadays Austria. After the breakdown of the monarchy in 1918, the new Austrian state called itself "Deutsch-Österreich" ( "German-Austria"). The victors forbade this new country to become part of Germany though, which was actually debated at that time. Many doubted that this "shrunken" state could actually survive.

I was going to comment something similar. The KGL was a British force made up of mostly of troops from Hannover (King George III was part of the House of Hannover, and reigned as its monarch as well), but it grew into a unit to include Germans from most, if not all, of the German states occupied by France. Due to this, it is actually possible for people from the same German state to fight one another; one in the KGL, and the other as a French conscript.

Let's also not forget of the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire in 1806 which basically turned central Germany into a conglomeration of kingdoms and grand duchies without being involved in an overall political system whereas Napoleon grouped a bunch of them up into the Confederation of the Rhine. The idea of the nation state was further strengthened after the Napoleonic Wars with the fight between Prussia and Austria for German dominance.

Morale definently needs a tweak. You charge at the enemy and they will not hold their ground. Either you or the enemy forces will break, removing the aspect of prolonged melee.

OK, pet peeve I know, but have to say this: When you refer to 1 thing, you use "is". When you refer to more than 1 thing, use "are". Form example: "There *are* 17 minutes", not "There is 17 minutes". I'm not particular on grammar normally, but damn it, numbers aren't THAT hard to keep track of. :P Otherwise, keep these coming: love them!

What's so dumb is that the Peninsula army didn't want to leave that star or that position at the top right of the map it's like the armies are doing chores and who ever does there chore or cleans up better gets the prize but there asking the peninsula brother to help them get a prize but he's like "Nope" and just sits on a chair watching television while the other brothers are cleaning up as fast as they can trying to get more done than the other brothers. But peninsula is all chill and be sittin back being that person who does nothing but still gets the prize for doing nothing. XD

The flanking manuveur of the regular Brits was a masterwork of tactic, the Russians held the town all the time, with one of their units holding the building against 5 charges or so. The performance of the Spanish expedition was just shit and noobish though. They advanced for 12 minutes, then they just ran to the corner of the map. I don't know if the his troops were this bad, but for fuck sake the Spanish player didn't even try to cover his flank, it was a 3v2 basically.

Madijeis 43 I believe from my eye that the French players showed a bit of tactic, but were outmanovuered totally by the British and were just unable to overcome the numbers of the Paninsularian Army, if my assumption is wrong, I am sorry, I am a total noob for Napoleon III tactics.

1) You download the one called NTW3 7 1 setup + GUI hotfix 2) Then you press the EXE once its downloaded. 3) It'll ask you for the location of your game, select the Steam folder. 4) It should ask you something like "Your game is already installed here, replace?" 5) It should create a shortcut wherever you made it make a shortcut. If its not on your desktop it'll be in your game files where you installed it. 6) Click dat and choose a gamemode (Campaign, MP, Historical Battles, Regimental, etc)

I have a suggestion for your question about installing mods. I copy the Napoleon Total War game's folder and put it somewhere safe for backup. When I want to change mods, I just delete the modded folder and replace it with the vanilla Napoleon Total War game folder. Also, don't forget to delete the "scripts" folder in "AppData/Roaming/The Creative Assembly/Napoleon" whenever you change out or mod the folder. If you have any questions, I can answer them. Great work as always appolo! But i'm too involve in the game and as a french guy I have hard time seen them lose to the freaaaking english, those dammm lobsters! As a matter of fact I have only see two total war3 battles, but I think that the buildings are waaaaay too strong to attack. The french player had artilery standing next to the building for 10min without taking it out (I'm talking about the center building with a russian unit in, and later 2 british units with), I would have paper it down, this was in my opinion one of the two biggest mistake in the battle, the second is that french player should have done like russian général, keeping unit to came back on the battlefield, the curassiers could have play this role. my frenchy francophonic french heart cry as your flag drag down in the blood of our good men!
