This series has been amazing. I hope it continues through the full restoration. I am currently working on my Grandpa's MF65 and am wanting to get it back to a restored condition. Your videos are amazing to watch and help me in the areas where I am not as knowledgeable on. Keep up the good work Lance!

I have a Massey 85, that the engine pto barely turns. The hydraulics had water in it from bad shifter boots when I acquired the tractor, so I changed the hy-Tran oil, and cleaned all 3 filters, but the pto still doesn’t work on engine. I noticed the pump intake screen was ripped, so I’m wondering if the control valve might have gotten some junk in it preventing it from working 🤷♂️ the other hydraulic systems work fine, as does the pto in ground position, so I’m wondering if I could flush the hydraulic system with new filters by using diesel fuel, then change the filter again and add oil, and wondered if I could get any better results??? What do you think??

We dont have the 85 over here so Im not sure, Are you sure it is a hydraulic clutch pack and ont a dual clutch model?

They make aviation safety wire out of stainless steel, which would be great to wire all the nuts and bolts to keep them from coming loose...

Thanks Lance. Is one of those couplers the one that breaks if things get fetched up, in other words, acts like a shear bolt to it breaks instead of breaking a major component. Or was that somewhere else in the tractor. I remember you talking about that a while ago. Those welding pilers are universal. Can be used as a hammer. 🤭🤭👋
@BundyBearsShed Жыл бұрын
Everything is a hammer, lol. Yes the coupler onto the pinion is known as a "shear tube" and they can save other parts for sure.

Lance, A bit off topic but did you know you can get a input shaft now for Massey Ferguson 135 and I assume 148 which will make the tractor reach top speed of 50kmh? If you put 'High speed range. Massey Ferguson 135 50 km/h' into Google it comes up, it only fits the 8 speed gear box though and not the multi power one, my 135 multipower sits on 40kmh

G Day Perer, No I wasnt aware of the upgrade Ill go into AGCO for a look.

@@BundyBearsShed it's on a website called Histo parts, AGCO doesn't seem to have it

Sorry mate, can't help myself, you left the wire tie out when you put the drive shaft in. I hate when I do things like that so I thought I should point that out to stop you having a problem in the future. Keep up the great show and all the best from FNQ, Tsv.

Yes I'm still not sure if I will fit it, many don't have it but the top is still off in case I change my mind.

I tore the miniscus in my knee so now I'm up to the final drives I was told not to do any heavy lifting so when it comes good I'll be back there. I have just been looking for lighter jobs for a while.
