7:20 NOTE: This is a typo in the video text ont he screen. I deconstructed the BT8908 (3/4-16), NOT the BT8902 (M20x1.5). Also, WhipCityWrencher pointed out that the reason hydraulic filters don't always have a bypass is because the hydraulic system has bypass built into it, so a filter bypass is not as critical. In that sense, it seems like I might need to look more closely at the NAPA/WIX models I mentioned, but didn't buy and test.

How's she goin'? I have a GC2300. I was pretty interested in this video as the Agco filter, here in Nova Scotia, is around $80 Cdn. The prices you show are pretty nice!!! I think I would stay with Agco though, even with the extra cost involved, based on what you have shown! Thanks for doing this. Take 'er easy!!

$80 Cnd, ouch that is expensive! I need to get my tiny channel revenue back in the black before I buy any more filters to check, but that WL10013 looks like it might be a winner. I got thinking about the lack of bypass valve and it doesn't seem like that would be necessary like it is in an engine filter where no oil flow = engine death. In the hydraulic system, it would lead to restricted flow which would produce visible sluggishness so you could just stop the tractor without causing damage. Anyway, thanks for watching. Always great to hear from you!

That's an interesting thought about the bypass on the hydraulic filter. I never thought of that, but it makes sense eh! I once had a guy tell me, $80 for a filter is a lot better than $2000 for a transmission!! LOL Take care!!@@Redneck_Ed

How are you gaining access to those online parts diagrams
@Redneck_Ed2 ай бұрын
Just Google search: AGCO Parts. Takes you right to the website. Click on the Parts Book link, then type the model number of your machine. I have a video on my channel from a while back showing and explaining how to access it if these instructions aren't enough.

I don't understand all of the people who ask about buying non-AGCO parts and fluids for their tractors. I will stick to what AGCO recommends for my GC1723e. Same as I do for my vehicles. My thought is save a dollar and you might cry over hundreds of dollars in repairs.

Lol, I made this video and I don't even fully understand the widespread strong desire to use 3rd parts fluids and filters. I know there are some people who live far from the dealer, and some who don't know how to choose Agriteer from the AGCO parts website and just pay a small flat shipping fee (vs paying bloated Amazon pricing through Agriteer) or driving 2 hours to their local dealer. There are others who swear by certain brands of filters and fluids. Still others who take the "AGCO doesn't make oil" approach and disregard how the supply chain and branding really work. One thing I've learned from all of the oil filter and fluid testing I've done is that AGCO has good stuff at reasonable prices when it comes to basic maintenance items. This makes sense because they have a vested warranty interest. If their filters and fluid suck and their tractors break under warranty, that hurts their profits. The only aftermarket thing I've used so far is Mobile engine oil.

My dealer actually recommends a different fluid but I use their filters only because there is no definitive cross reference
