The one thing about being an adult, and who has lost most of her family (passed on), that I miss dearly is all the get togethers and Sunday dinners at Mom's. I love seeing people doing this now. The traditions have changed so much over the years that it is nice to see people still doing it. I am 51 and sadly lost my mom when I was 29. I painfully miss her and those Sunday dinners. I was not able to have children of my own and my significant other's family does not live real close so we don't have those days anymore.. count your blessings to anyone who reads this if you still have your parents around and still have a lot of family. Cherish them and don't assume they will always be around,, I learned the hard way, I have lost most of my family on my Mom and dads side so those days are long gone. I know some families dynamics are not the same but if you are close, don't take advantage that they will be around when you're less busy, find the time

Loved this type of video and would ABSOLUTELY LOVE ❤️ to hear your sweet momma's tips on gettin dinner together and still making all the other obligations she has that day too. We celebrate the Sabbath on Saturday in my family (we are Christian but trying to follow a little more closely to the old testament on many things 😊). We always seem to be stretched awfully thin trying to get together, have a meal and worship all before we plum starve to death!😂 I am sure she has a lot of experience that we could learn from. And a cole slaw recipe??? YES MA'AM!!

Yes, please! I always wonder how people get food together after church! I would love to be “that Mom” one day.😂 Also, they make this little balloon pump that you can buy at Hobby lobby. You absolutely need to spend the money to get one of those. My oldest just graduated from high school this year and my daughter wanted to do those balloon arches everywhere. She wanted to get one of those balloon pumps, but I hesitated because I didn’t want to spend the extra money. It was worth every penny. I think they are $19.99. You will thank me later!🎉🎉🎉

Oh my goodness! Can you guys be any cuter? My parents have passed but my momma used to do Saturday afternoon dinner for us. I’ve got 5 brothers, I’m the only girl, so that tradition has been passed down to me. Saturday afternoons are my favorite. Love the balloon arches and I think the items you got will be very pretty together. I would do a photo background and use the glasses and stuff as props for the photo.. I did polaroid pictures so they had a little memory to take with them. They sell them at Walmart and they are really easy to use and not expensive. I use mine more often than I thought. Your blessed to have Sunday dinner with your momma and family. I miss my momma. She went home to the Lord one year ago in April. Have a wonderful week and God bless

Just watched last night’s episode. You’re such a normal person I sit here by myself and laugh like a fool so loud! Congratulations on your daughter’s wedding! He’s a good cook too! I’ve made a similar recipe with the shells. Just used the hamburger meat with a can of tomato sauce and rotel and it’s delicious! You want try you some bread baking. Get you a used machine at a thrift store and practice. I yank mine out and put in bread pan and I have a fancy homemade bread! Easy peasy You enjoy your momma bc they’re the best and only with us for a while. I miss mine every single day.

We do a meal for the family here in my part of Va. It's such a great way to take some of the burden off of their shoulders. Hobby Lobby is one of my favorite places.
