I love the pot pie recipe! I’d take my cooked biscuits and split them then put one on the bottom of my serving bowl and add my pot pie then top it with the lid. If you used a small bowl it would kinda be a pot pie! I watch every week and enjoy myself. Than you and bless

In the summer I take advantage of the bell peppers and good onions and celery.... I use my food whizzer and process chunks of the veg into fine fine chop... Drain and then pack into freezer bags and stack in the freezer. Mash the bags fairly flat and then during the winter you break off whatever size chunk you desire. I put it in everything I can! Many many times I also add carrot to it... Everybody needs a little bit of carrot in life! Its so good to have summer freshness in the dead of winter when bell peppers are up to $5 a piece... Just clear the kitchen table and set up and take an hour and make a whole bunch! I do the same with an over abundance of tomatos... With or without onions and peppers...

To save time and money whenever I find Boneless Skinless Chicken or Ground Beef on Sale I purchase as much as I can afford that week without busting our budget. I bring it home and immediately cook it up. I put the Chicken in my Crockpot and simply season it with salt and pepper and add about a cup of water or chicken broth. I cook it on low for 3 to 5 hours. I immediately shred it and package it in 2 to 3 cup portions. For ground beef I bring it home and brown it up. I add salt, pepper and usually a couple of chopped onions. I brown it up and I package it in quart freezer bags. Having precooked chicken and ground beef I have about 20 dishes that I can use to throw a meal together fast. Most I can have on the table in 20 or 25 minutes. Other that grilling whole pieces of chicken or roasting a whole chicken I never cook anything with chicken that I do not use shredded chicken. The same with ground beef. Other that making burgers, meatballs or meatloaf I always use just browned ground beef and if I use ground beef crumbles I slways brown it with onion so that's why I always brown it with onions. Having these precooked meats saves us from wasting money going thru a drive thru when life gets busy and we need a fast meal. I usually just defrost in the microwave for 2 to 3 minutes and add it still partially frozen to whatever I am cooking. It thaws while the rest of the meal cooks. My husband is not much of a cook. He can smoke meat but other that does not cook much of anything else, but with the precooked meats even he has a few meals he can cook after i get my monthly treatments and need some help for a few days each month.

Hi Mama Mel Love all the recipes. Since husband passed I cook with the crock pot so much.Have small, med and large sizes. Just a tip for the cake. Put a piece of paper towel on the top and cover with the lid. The lid will keep it from falling into the cake mix.Keeps the moisture off the cake. Made one last week and that works very well. No condensation on the lid Thanks and keep the recipes coming.
