That is a misconception. Some food has rules to follow when you eat it to appreciate more its authentic taste. Kare kare, for example, should go with shrimp paste and nothing else.

This vid wants me to take a tour again of the Islands and recreate all my great times there and eating the food. I’ve had Kare-Kare, and it’s one of my favorite Filipino dishes!!! It is usually cooked with oxtail! I’ve never had Bulalo, but from what I hear from people who have had it, it is the best beef soup ever! My understanding is that a cow’s leg is slowly cooked for 10+ hours until it is falling off the bone! The broth is just ridiculously good!!! My uncle would take 2 days to make this dish!!! Prepping in the morning and start the cooking in the afternoon. Slow cooking it overnight!!! By late lunch or early dinner the following day, the soup would be ready!!! ☮️🖖🏽

It's normal for us westerners because Filipino meals, though, cheap they come in small servings, prepared for petite physique like asians. I'd have 3 combo meals in jollibee to fill up my tummy or 3 or 4 dishes in a restaurant. You're so adorable! I laughed a lot when you added sili and calamansi on the bulalo but fun fact there is actually a specific sauce or in filipino it's sawsawan for bulalo and it's patis (fish sauce), calamansi and sili.

@ Mike Chen the thing that makes that pansit you ate in Balinsasayaw is that pansit being a noodle dish, their version instead of making with noodles is young coconut strips making it look like noodles at the same time with that smooth texture and a hint of the sweet coconut bringing it all together as pansit.

Visiting and eating our foods from tagaytay tells me that this place is one of the best tourist spot here in our country in terms of food. I hope you'll come back here and meet you in person. I seriously cried when I saw this and doesn't made a chance to see you. I hope we'll meet in person sooner. Btw I'm from tagaytay.
