I am the only dishwasher in the place. Get a deep plastic container, one that fits in the sink. Collect dirty dishes in the container (maybe a separate one for cookware). Squirt in some dish detergent and fill with hot water and leave it out overnight. First thing in the morning, wash the dishes. It's quick, easy, and you start the day feeling you got something accomplished! Put dishes away when they're dry. I hang my cups individually, so I hang them wet. Flatware and utensils I put away wet (they'll dry just fine). Pan lids (unless nested) can be put away wet.

When I was dishes, I fill up the one side with water and dish soap. I use fairly warm/hot water...as warm as my hands can take. I wash several and put in the other sink, then rinse them and put on the mat. And, repeat. Something is wrong with our dishwasher too. It's leaking water somewhere. Always love your declutter videos. I miss them.

Yes! I have a few spots left in my house and a furnace room I just started and if I can’t access it I just forget it exist. I had an entire craft bin I went thru today and I didn’t even realize I had any of it!

Decluttering is a lifelong journey. It’s never over. But if you do it often it won’t be so overwhelming. We all know that, right? 😂 Now the hard part is actually dong it. I’m constantly stuff shifting, or hoard churning, or pile shuffling. Whatever you want to call it. And your right, we just have to start! 😊

Great declutter video. If you want quick access to your mouth wash, put the clear container on top of your make up drawers. You can still access the drawers and also get you mouth wash easy too. Thanks for sharing!

Googling best cleaning shows I accidentally found Hot Mess House and I've been hooked to Clutterbug KZbin channel ever since. Finally found another organizing KZbinr besides you whose energy and jokes and overall being I really love, yay! I am sure you must be familiar with her and done her test, I was wondering what kind of bug are you? You are definitely macro organizer and I think you prefer things hidden, so most likely a ladybug? I love organizing and while I very much appreciate Kondo and find her method useful, I've always felt it's lacking something... Clutterbug's four types were really helpful for me understanding different organization needs, especially my family members. I'm a cricket myself so it's easy for me to be organized - trying not to get too detailed and to macro organize more, so basically trying to be more ladybug :D Now I've found my partner is a bee I understand him and his needs a bit better, also I now have quite a few practical tips how to help my ladybug teenage daughter to keep her room cleaner.

I so agree. Living for 12+ years in a motorhome while traveling the USA (in retirement) and not having a dishwasher was better. It's just my hubby & I and we don't generate that many dishes. It's easier to hand wash them & let air dry. Now we're living in a permanent foundation home again & there was no dishwasher in the kitchen - great since if there was one then 1) I would have lost three cabinets & 2) it would have been taken out & replaced with a wine fridge!

I’m dreading to clean out under my bathroom vanity as I know there will be so much to look through. I think when it comes to make up and skin care it’s best to just stay with what works. When I started watching KZbin I was so easily influenced to try all different products. Now I just buy one foundation, one blush, one mascara, etc. When I run out I just repurchase.

I've had the Quip toothbrush for a little over three years now! I don't treat it the same as other electric toothbrushes despite it being powered. It stays on for a two-minute timer and the vibration briefly stops in 30-second intervals to tell you to switch quadrants of your mouth. It's really nice to completely space out while focusing on cleaning just the bottom left or wherever. Two minutes is the recommended time to spend brushing your teeth, but sometimes I use it twice in a row to focus on just the front quadrants and then just the back quadrants! It's nice that you didn't accept the sponsorship anyway, since it didn't work out for you!

This is how you save water. Use one bin with clean soapy water. Keep it clean. Use a brush and scrubber by dipping in the clean water, cleaning the dirty dishes. Put them in the garbage disposal side when clean. Then rinse them all. Tada!

Fantastic declutter motivation ! I've just wished you would have filmed a bit while discarding the things that couldn't go in the donation basket as tossing stuff is my biggest struggle while decluttering and it seemed you've had quite a lot in this one when you've shown the bag at the end 💪 If you ever have more clothes that can't be donated or nicer paper clutter like fashion magazines, catalogs and even some clothes stores flyers to declutter, I'll hope you'll film this part as along with cosmetics that you've did in this one, they're my hardest things to toss and also the things we see the less in declutter videos 😅

I love that you called the Bell canning jar a "Ball Organizer" lolol. As someone who cans vegetables I can attest to the organizational capacities of said jar. It also makes a great drinking glass, flower vase and paint brush holder.

I feel like it might be a better flow to switch your round counter organizer with the makeup one. You don't want soap, water, toothbrush remnants getting in that stuff and then you can pop the mouth wash etc on top too

About dishes, I place a dish pan (Rubbermaid) in one side of sink & fill with as hot of water & soap. I have a dish drainer in the other basin of my sink. And my dirty dishes are taken out of wash tub & stacked on the counter. 1) wash glasses - leaving in soapy water till tub is full. 2) rinse each piece in cool water & either in sink drainer or on drying mat on other counter. 3) then wash silverware, then plastics, then my Corelle dishes, last is pots & baking pans. Even with cooking a large meal (easter, Christmas, thanksgiving,...) I can get the dishes done within 30 min's max. ( Helps having hubby drying many of the larger items)

I literally laughed out loud when you pulled them out of the cabinet and commented on them. I love that you keep real life ups and downs as part of your videos. I guess one way to describe it would be that the flow isn't a stream of video, but rather a few seconds of video, then a second or two edited out and right back in again until the next few seconds are edited out. I absolutely understand that there is probably a lot of editing required for videos - no problem at all with that, but rather, it's frequent choppiness that makes videos hard to watch. (An example is after you put the highlighter in the bin and talk about the tooth whitener.) It seems like this is a recent change to your editing style. The music and transitions are good. I really appreciate that you asked for clarification. I hope I explained it ok. I love your channel and am a huge fan!!
