it's actually meant for close quarters combat. if an enemy manages to close in to the Buster, it can still shoot it with the small waist guns. (it can also be used in closed/tight space)

I watch a short at one point and the joint that connect the big guns of Buster and the waist gun of lightning Buster is the same so you can swap them to make a Buster with all 4 guns

I like how this takes the modern engineering of actually fixing some of the issues from the original kit but other than that the fact that it's not the same in terms of color as the cgi model mixed with the dinky guns it has and the lack of anything else to make it feel any different really makes this feel like a Buster gundam 2.0 that they just decided to release because the movie came out 20 years out of development hell. I mean the kit itself is fine but it just feels less interesting and they could have done a lot more with this, even in lore because they really could have all out for the buster and duel, especially have the buster use the Lighting striker pack.

@@kamenriderovant9676 HG Verde Buster was nice in my opinion but the down side is it was very awkward to pose...since the new shoulder tend to move around a lot and it is the same with the sub arms for the new beam rifle/knife I would not recommend the kit unless you really love the Verde buster or maybe better yet a revive version with improvements.

@@second6709 I agree sadly the only passable hg stargazer gundam as a sort of revive ack then would be the Strike noir since it was based on the strike kit it was a bit more simple and I think they added a few small replacement joint to the noir to improve articulations on the elbow and maybe somewhere else based on some promotion dvd it came with I remember it being very posable. As for the other 2 dual and buster they were the same old kit with out too much improvements besides new armor and weapons on them which made them look good but that was it.

Regarding colour separation and certain parts of articulation the HG Seed Freedom line seems like a step down from Witch from Mercury

My biggest complaint with this design overall is that it doesn't combine it's cannons like the OG Buster which sets it apart from other mobile suits. It's supposed to be a specialized artillery unit but it doesn't feel like it because sure it has big ass cannons on it's shoulders, but so does the Freedom minus everything else.

The original HG Buster Gundam is 1100 yen. This HG Lightning Buster is 2860 yen and you have to do a ton of detail painting to make it color accurate. While an average RG kit costs 2750 yen and is almost perfectly color accurate out of the box. Something is not right here. And the HG Verde Buster is now more like a legendary kit you can't find anywhere if you wanted a kitbash.

The stickers on the cheeks and the non articulated Feet are a huge letdown on this kit and i was also let down with the feet on the Duel Blitz ! they are the 1st 2 kits that do not have feet that bend and move out of the movie series and they make the kits feel pretty cheap imo ,oh well great review !

this head sculpt looks way better than the original hg even though it uses more stickers. imo there was always something off about its head in the original hg. my favorite is the gframe head sculpt but this comes close even better than the mg.

Instead small gun beam, if you have hg buster gundam you can swap beam gun with buster gundam weapon and you can make lightning buster gundam with four big weapon

I love the additional rocket-boxes on the back, but they should have kept the rockets in the shoulders too. The knees should be upgraded to be grenade holsters as well. The original Beam Cannons that marry into the beam sniper rifle & beam shotgun are way better weapons. Way more practical, Far more versatile use as transformable weapons…and they have handles. This kit has a very neat build that gives it strong articulation (and it looks well balanced even though it seems like it would be back heavy). With a name like The Lightning Buster I have to wonder, Why didnt they upgrade this Gundam to have the conductive whips that The Gouf has? They could have been made out of blue or yellow beam effect material. I fill like they gave a lot of thought and car in how to make this kit possible and as good as mechanically possible, but it doesn’t feel like what a Buster Gundam upgrade could have been.

I only want this one just for the backpack cannons so I can build my own scratch-built destiny impulse backpack for my custom astray and the legs for my custom green frame astray that's weapon loadout is inspired by the supernova heavy arms custom but all four of my double Gatling guns are funnels and the legs from this would work well because my out frame and my testament inspired ones have strike gundam legs inspired one is going to have the new dual blitz legs I want them to be a little bit different between the out frame testament inspired units because the new dual legs are almost identical to the strike legs

I can't help but feel like the Lightning Buster and Duel Blitz are - aesthetically - a step down compared to their original configuration. I think it's that they've put more material around their shoulders and it makes them awkwardly top-heavy. I also always liked the sequence with the Buster's firing pose, with two arms holding on to that large cannon. Adding another one just kind of makes it like the Calamity or Freedom.

My disappointment for this is immeasurable, Buster is one of my favourite Gundam and I was looking forward to this and what would likely have been an inevitable P-Bandai original equipment type. But it feels like it’s barely better than the original Hi-Grade, those cheek stickers, the colour separation and the giant gates. If I hadn’t recently built the original I might have thought this was the same kit with just new weapons

Maybe the worst "upgrade" of all time. The Verde was so unique and the OG is super clean . This is just a lamer version of the OG. The 2 different guns for different circumstances and combining them for different effects was even a way more interesting gimmick than the same boring rail gun on each side that looks like every other seed gundam
