Incredibly good video by ONSCENE TV. Good video of 3 master streams coming down from the ladder trucks. That was impressive. Those firefighters on the roof, on the edge there, I would say should not be there. I'd got defensive of the firefighting and get them off the roofs, for sure.

lol yarn doesn't burn that hot or aggressively. Some kind of accelerant was part of the burn i;m guessing.

what's the first thing you do in the event of a fire in the work place? Go home
@thenussbaum445 жыл бұрын
The first thing I would ask the PIO is why no pre-piped water ways on the trucks, second one is why are they on a roof that has fire coming through it.

There were two views of a ladder pipe in operation that was not LAFD. Look at 8:20 & 11:46. It is a dark ladder with red agency on side of it. LAFD ladder pipes in operation on both sides of it. it Is not LACoFD but auto aid from ?????

Just one question about that vehicle at 4:00: What is this small compartment at the back for? There is a steering wheel inside, so is it possible to manoeuvre it from the rear (just as we know from infantry tanks, which also have a 2nd driver at the rear). Thanks in advance, regards from Germany! J.K.
@CLEARVIEW6663 жыл бұрын
it has a trailer driver in the back to steer for the 100 foot ladders. Plus it has tons of extra storage.
@jurgenkuhlmann91943 жыл бұрын
@@CLEARVIEW666 Thanks. The range is about the same as in Germany: 100 ft = 33m. That's OK for 8 - storey buildings, I presume.

I have no knowledge of firefighting equipment but do very much enjoy watching all the firemen working and seeing all the cool Tonka Toys they have, my question if anyone can answer it is why is it that LA and other Western states always seems to have trucks that are in mint condition and other parts of the country other departments have old run down equipment, just seems to me that these men and women are putting their lives on the line and should have up to date modern trucks to do their jobs, I’m not criticizing any department just a question.
@maxhallman10363 жыл бұрын
Most western states actually have vehicles that are mainly over 10 years in service and look brand new because 1 no salt 2 they have their own fleet maintenance and 3 they have more money to take care of the equipment
@tmilesffl3 жыл бұрын
It's all about the money. Many parts of the country have Volunteer fire fighters and have to do fund raising to get new equipment. A new fire truck can cost around a million dollars.

John Wrigley It is....County was able to wear them. For a good 12-14 years. 2003 until 2017/2018 . Then they decided to pull them. A year or two ago. (the executive Staff). A sad day in my opinion. Just curious to know if LAFD is doing a wear test for a new helmet ?

I guess it's cool to say we have aggressive truck companies but this shit is just straight of Reckless. first second of the video that building is a total loss nobody should be on that roof. And then it takes 45 minutes to set up a ladder pipe. You can cut a hundred vent holes on that roof it would make no difference. Lafd has great aggressive firefighters. just questionable tactics
