Oh, man... oh, man! Another epic build by the crafting sensei! I really dig the idea of having a basement/dungeon below some of the buildings. Looking forward to future videos. -Rick

Wow so many things I like about this build and this video!! Cant wait to try Mordheim as a substitute for when there is no DM or not enough people for a campaign. Thanks John for all the amazing crafts and awesome ideas and options. You are the tabletop crafting GOAT!!!

Thank you I really appreciate that! That's the reason we're starting this up too... lack of a DM at the moment.

Great video! Love the layout and top and cavern playability. Interesting on the new type of foam and glue options. The buildings look fantastic can’t wait to see them all painted. Long journey ahead to complete this epic build; I am along for the ride and can’t wait to see the finished board.

Thanks so much Scott! I'm tackling it one piece at a time so I'm just as curious how the final build will turn out as you are :) I was happy to dive into the EPS and StyroGoo. I was surprised at how nice the texture was on the EPS too. I almost want to buy some 3 pound EPS and see how that takes the texture for crafting especially since it comes in up to 8" thick sheets !

Mordheim!!! ❤ Hoepfully a battle report is also planned on this table. I would try a 2nd bridge Otherwise it looks great!!
@TabletopWitchCRAFT6 күн бұрын
I'll have to give a battle report a try and see how it does on the channel. As for the second bridge, I tried to make one fit last night after I saw your comment... not sure it will... but I'll keep thinking on this! Thanks!

It looks interesting, the only major issue that I can see is that it seems more empty for a Mordheim/Frostgrave type table, and a lack of vertical travel for it as well. Both kind of need access that goes everywhere for characters to travel. Platworms and walkways with crumbling buildings that tower as a crumbling monument to the fallen city.

Everything you mentioned will be added this is just the base layout. There will be over 22” in playable height across the board as well! Hang tight…. It’s coming 💪

What an epic build this is going to be! Can’t wait to see all of it! And you got to see Nate from Dwarven Forge and GinnyDi, awesome! Questions for your Q&A video. I know I asked this before, but this may be a good one. What tools or add-ones do you recommend so that someone can get the most out of their Proxxon? Besides the Proxxon and other hot wire cutters what other tools would you recommend someone have for terrain building? (Assuming one would have the basics - handheld drill, Olfa knife, soldering iron, etc.).

Thank you Tim :) Excellent question... I'll definitely add it to my list !

This is beyond ‘Epic!’ Can’t wait to see the rest of the vids for this build! I have a question for the Q&A vid…’So, what’s with this Andy guy who keeps asking for things like the Outhouse of Doom and the Pizza Oven of Doom? Is he a bit unhinged?’😅 On a serious note though, with the resurgence of classic games like Mordheim and HeroQuest do you think the gaming community is heading more towards the smaller game setups for speed and ease of play (less figures, smaller tables etc), or are players just interested in the larger armies games like WHF, 40K, Kings of War etc (I understand people are still playing them, I still play Kings of War, but I also play DBA and HotT)?
@TabletopWitchCRAFT9 күн бұрын
That's a great question Andy, I'll add that to my list! As for the table... I have Epic plans for it that's for sure :)

I got a question for the Q&A vid…what do you use when you’re running that many LEDs? I’ve used your coin battery LEDs a few times now but would I just need like a mini train light hub set?

That's an excellent question... I'm having something made special just for this build by Terrain Tronics. I'll answer that question in my Q&A! Thanks Sean.

Beautiful work as always. The interactive elements will be epic! looking forward to seeing what you do. One question - why did you go with EPS instead of the usual XPS?
@TabletopWitchCRAFT9 күн бұрын
Thank you Dafydd. With your help, diving into the electronics, it will definitely be EPIC! As for the EPS foam, this board will have some weight to it, and I went that route because EPS is lighter than XPS. Every ounce counts.

Looks great, though I did immediately worry about those carved out underground sections - they leave the 'roof' really fragile I would think ? Hope you are reinforcing somehow ? I can just see someone leaning even the slightest bit on it and busting through all your hard work.

Thank you. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that nobody leans on the buildings haha... but you never know. Mordheim is a destroyed city after all haha.
