I agree that it’s her house, and her choice. However, since she opts to put her decor on video, then she’s open to, and often asks for, feedback. As a subscriber of hers, I’m allowed opinions regarding her decor. And, again, I do not like knotted or puddled curtains for the reasons I mention in my first text. Never inferred that she should change anything that she does because of anyone’s opinion! I love 99% of what she does and will continue to be a fan.

I love Carmel! We go to the pebble beach car show, auctions and quail every Aug. Such a magical place and yes, we are all in harms way with fires in CA, I though Malibu being close to water might have been a resource to prevent such tragedy but it goes to show that none of us are really safe unless we create the preventive measures to protect our own homes. Thank you for your thoughts about LA. I grew up there...back in the 60xs and 70xs. I used to march in the Pacific Palisades parade as a baton twirled and remember how beautiful that area was in particular. I've raised my family in Virginia since 1990 and my son now lives near the Pasedena area in LA. He has not needed to evacuate. I've had a week of worry and concern and am so sad for all those who have suffered and have loss so much. Thank you again.

I am all for helping the ones in need and hit by devastation, we have read many headlines that the government already allocated lots of funds for rebuilding LA . As of right now my husband and I are still sending supplies and money in North Carolina , they haven’t received suport and I have two friends that live in a tent. I wish we would treat everyone the same, their life is as precious as any other .

I’m sorry but NC absolutely HAS received funds just like every other area that is affected by natural disaster. Whether or not your friends are battling with insurance which others who experience natural disasters have to do as well, including the residents of LA will be doing is another story. The government isn’t going to rebuild your home, that’s why you have insurance. The government provides temporary assistance, shelter & food needs. They also work with state & local governments to rebuild infrastructure and offer things like small businesses loans through the SBA. I’m sorry, not trying to be insulting to you or your friends but unfortunately some people wrongfully politicized the hurricane relief b/c they were running for office with no actual plans of their own so that makes it necessary to lie about the government they want to replace. I have a slew of friends & family affected by the hurricane in NC & b/c they listened to proper sources, they received help that was the same available to those of us in Florida. And part of that is them dealing with their insurance companies as the government is not going to rebuild individual lives but they certainly received appropriate assistance.

My family didn’t listen to the nonsense about the Federal response but some of their neighbors did, sitting there with little water, food or anything & believing that the Fed gvmt just wasn’t doing anything in regard to immediate response. The NCGA really did their own people badly although I still don’t think people understand the roles accurately.

I love your message in one of the videos about putting Kindness as one of the goals For 2025❤ It got me thinking...I try to not make nasty comments online, but it happened to me to write a comment which wasn't exactly "nice" or needed...I will try to work on it more. Most of the time there is no need to say things...We can just keep it to ourselves. It hit me when I saw nasty comments about the fires in the LA. I live in the UK but I still cried after seeing what's happening there and some people's comments are just ...There was also a lady from the LA saying what's happening over there ( it was a short interview) and people where... commenting on her lips ( being too big) instead of listening to what she's got to say...I just don't understand this world...why are other people's looks a problem...And all those comments made me really sick...and sad😢

For curtains, do you know a no-sew technic? You can buy some strips for cutrains and iron the tail to the lenghts you want. Very easy project and you don't have to spend money for all new curtains

Lauren, I enjoy your channel. You mentioned you have an instapot. One suggestion that I do is save all my onion skins, garlic skins, carrots skins and ends, celery, many vegetables and place them in a freezer bag and add to it. Then I add it to my instapot with water and herb and within in 15 minutes you have fresh vegetable broth. I also use mason jars and place them in the refrigerator. I haven’t bought broth in a while. It is simple and delicious.

When you mentioned your son having heard the business conversation, it reminded me of things my adult kids would talk about when they get together. The things that seem to have stuck the most with them are the times they observed us "adulting." They learned so much by being there and observing us handle life, including resilience. Parents need to remember that. Thankfully without realizing that at the time, we did ok because we have happy, successful adult children. By the way, that in turn has created a happy sunset time for my husband and myself in our own lives.

I was able to raise my children prior to all screens, including cell phones, and I feel so privileged to have been able to raise my children in that environment. Congratulations on your new work opportunity. It's snowing here, and we will continue to get snow through March. Loved seeing your garden beds and I am very much into gardening and so anxious to get started on my garden 2025!! The hydrangea's are gorgeous!! I will be doing more bulk food prep when I get another freezer/fridg, but currently my favorite items to cook in bulk is soups, stews and casseroles. You can make casseroles ahead of time, without cooking them and then pull them out when you are ready and then cook them. I just freeze mine in glass casserole dishes.

With the air out of the jars - food last so much longer for you…just a suggestion. Praying for California- here in. The mid west we received 1/2” ice topped then with 12” of snow. I wish there was a way to get all that moisture to CA to help fight those horrible fires.

We buy meat in bulk and prep it out for meals and then we have found that we like a fresher veggie so we buy those in non bulk. However, I do prep mirepoix in large batches and lay them flat to freeze. Makes life so much easier! Good luck girly ❤

Love your channel- I’ve never seen green onion at Costco-it maybe there when I’m not, ha! The Costco in Walnut Creek is always crazy…parking is a nightmare. Usually go to Sam’s in Concord. I love to see what you do with all of the veggies. Love this type of video! It is sooo cold and snowy here in WV…I super miss the sunny ca weather …im from so cal and now weve been snowed in for a week :( for freezer meals, I like to just double whatever cassseroles im making for the week and pop one in the fridge, one in the freezer…I also prep my salads and stuff for lunches since I work from home and have a thirty minute lunch so i dont waste time making it lol
