Duuuuuuude, I'd have to double insulate the roof or instant coma. When I put a metal roof on my home my daughter was NOT happy until the nest spring rainy season hit and now every time it rains she thinks nap time. Recently had to get a new roof and got the metal shingle combo and love it too. That sound is just hypnotic

I’d look into the GTS flash for the differential it allows you to put the power down mid corner and changes the characteristics of the power oversteer quite a bit

Here in New Zealand we have many roads like this within 20or 30 kilometres from the city that are completely quiet. It’s just one of those things we take for granted and most of our trees are evergreen so you don’t have the problem with leaves blocking intakes and making the road slippery

Came up on the Dragon once in the wet in my 987.1S and fortunately I had great brakes as there was a substantial tree down over the road. Modified Porsche brakes FTW slowing down from "30" made the screeching worth it. Wife and I'd be dead otherwise.

@42:20 If you want your footage to convey speed, get your camera LOW to the ground. Maybe combine some "in car" with some "bumper mount". Maybe even a door mount just behind the front tire on each side. See that suspension work in the corners!

Taylor "Rays" ;) Oh Crap just realized Tail of the Dragon in in North Carolina. Just got home a couple hours ago from NC. First time there and 2nd time travelling to the East coast states. Tree colors are just absolutely amazing. Was up in Boone, NC visiting my sons aunt at Appalachian State. Oh and saw a Jeep Meet up in the BlueRidge Mtns area. National Jeep day? weird. Great driving roads just before Boone coming from Charlotte, but we got the last rental car... a 2022 Chevy Surburban lol, aka LANDBOAT.

When I worked at a sign shop we used soapy water spray to apply vinyl, it allowed you to align everything and then you squeegeed the water out to fix it in place. You could try that.

Love The Dragon. There's no bad roads in the area. As a motorcyclist who's met a train of cars who are pushing it and smelled the hot brakes as the cars race by inches from my head I just want to remind you and everyone else to please stay in your lane. It was super intimidating the first several times with the cars coming at you, but you get used to it.

I love your vids Taylor, been watching since the turbo 4 in the miata and even before that. The bmw may be a great driving experience but everyone i hear no matter what exhause they ALL sound like a wet fart, I have yet to hear one that doesnt sound like ass. keep up the great work bud and yes we do think you should get serious drifting, you have the skills to go pro.

Awesome stuff! Food for thought, if you want to capture video that looks more like realtime speed, try mounting a camera as low to the ground as you can on your front Bumper/Grill. Lookup old video's of Mount Panorama (Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia) In the 1980's I think Jim Richards had a bumper cam in one of the BMW's around that time. It shows way more than an inboard camera. Anyway Cheers, It looks sweet.

for good sticker placement you should use a spray bottle with some soapy water, that way you can move it around before you squeeze the water out from underneath it

Put some electric tape around the lip of the rim three times around before you mount them so you don't take a chance to scratching them and then pull it off before you balance them

My only issue was clean the inside of your front windscreen mate… truly makes an amazing difference 🤙🏻 Super sweet wheels and tires. Maybe experiment with left foot trail braking

We cleaned it before we left. I generally brake deep into the corner because you can’t tell what kind of corner it is until your in it. You can see way better on camera than in person. Part of what makes it look so slow. But when I know the corner I try to be fully off the brakes before I start turning. Especially in the wet. You can feel that any bit of brake while trying to pour on lock you’ll just lose in the inside tire.

regarding the NT-01's they are a good but super old tire design todays modern 200tw tires have come a long way if you want even more grip like the Re-71 rs or an A052 or even like a Falken rt660

I'm following your formula for a good f80 daily, wish I could post pics but I've loved those t 37s forever amd got them in black w green stickers, mine is white but needs a wrap, it sat under an oak tree for almost a year so the white aint so bright. I love it and am getting those mag paddles, that weak click has disappointed me enough. Major flex with the rays bags. Those are so dope

@@Taylordrifts I I've about 120 miles from the dragon in Alabama and this f80 is already such fun up there w grippy tires, coilovers and all new bushings, that tactile click will give it a chef's kiss and make our trips even better. PRO TIP: If you can find a local that likes driving up there then they will take you and unlock the next level of roads, less traffic more like those in fnf Tokyo drift... they're up there and magical

@@thewitt76 yeah I actually found a good pair of roads pretty close by with no traffic. Ones a bit bumpy and rough. But I’ve only ever seen 2 cars driving down them in all the times we’ve ran them.
