One big thing I think Drift Week is missing vs Drag Week is competition.. As it is, it's more like drag week but where the timing system is turned off. It's still cool but can't help but feel some friendly comp with token prizes at the end would be cool.. Maybe just a judged quali / lead run or something but feel it would add loads to the event

The reason your m3 didn’t come with a back up camera is because at bmw in 2016 when you could spec the m3 there was a “lightweight” package that she’d I wanna say maybe 150-200lbs. It only was “available” with manual transmission. A lot of people call it “base model” but it is far from base model. It’s like the same thing as getting a 2017 gt350 and it has the tiny screen but it has the Recaro’s… same thing lighter weight because smaller interface less wires and everything makes it 200lbs lighter. It’s the same reason you don’t have the alcantara inserts for your seats, or straight leather, that “houndstooth” style insert only came on that single package. It always said “incompatible with parts selected” and then would convert to the manual no backup camera. Boom, straight from someone who used to configure cars for fun in high school.

I use hawk pads on my dirt track race car. When they glaze over we sit on the concrete and scuff them back up. We've tried using a sander but it never worked as good as rubbing them on rough concrete

Haha, being very diplomatic about the shifter. As I discovered, those shifters are not very good and cause tons of miss shifts which isn't good in a race car. The stock shifter flat out works and the billet aftermarket ones, don't.

Sloted brake caliper brackets... A lot of heat cycling, a lot of wibration... I predict them to slide out of place and rub against rim at some point... Did you consider just cutting out new bracket from just solid plate of 6061?

23:45 I play CarX on PC where the suspension tuning is very extensive and sold as accurate to real life. RE: Your new rear poke,… I have found that when I put the rear wheels inward as much as possible (but still looks good) it helps “lock” at max angle rather than spinning out. I’m curious to see if the extra 10mm is gonna mess with that “spin out lock out” feel.
