I've made a ton of stuff like this now, and can usually go through the steps in my head in less time than it would take to launch Blander -- but its still nice to see since sometime there are techniques I've either forgotten or not thought of before. The course on GameDev TV are awesome, btw.

I always enjoy your videos a lot, but this time there was one thing I found a bit negligent. Thinking about all the beginners asking for help at Blender Stack Exchange, there are often two main problems: unapplied scale (which you mention in this video) and the other is wrong face normals... and when you make the first fruit bowl and duplicate the faces to move them upwards, you have one part with the faces pointing inwards and the other outwards. This can lead to more issues if you want to bevel edges or use a Subdivision Surface modifier etc. By the way, Separate by Loose Parts works without the need to select all - it simply separates everything which is not connected, no matter what is selected.

Can it be that auto smooth is available since blender 4.0? ^^ I forgot to update my Blender version before the course and was wondering why I can't find this setting ^^' Thanks in any case for these short exercises! It's really fun to do them, as they are much less “intimidating” than a “big” course with hours of videos. xD
