Agreed!!! A cool watch is Floyd and Mike Tyson’s defensive highlights on KZbin. Another pot of gold!

In addition, another thing that I think really helps with head movement is just sparring. When you start sparring regularly, you get used to seeing punches coming at you and what the different punches look like..

I've been boxing for a while. At first, I watched many KZbin channels and couldn't tell who was good and who wasn't. Now I know just how correct and great you are at teaching the important fundamentals to great boxing technique. My coach is fantastic and you brilliantly teach the principles that he's teaching me; coordinating hands with the feet, small concise movements, and so on.

Hello Fran.. I have been reading your book for quite some time now and have finally got to sit down and watch the work, which I have to say is second to none.. My son has been boxing now for approx three years. A short time I know, but believe me when I say, my boy is a natural. Picked up a lot from me growing up, as I boxed something like 40 years ago. Watching your work, just puts it all out there with the bad habits my son does have. No he is not perfect🤣 Anyway I love to watch your knowledge and love of the noble art, because I do myself hand down my old school knowledge too! He hears me but does not listen unfortunately. I have started sending my son links to your drills and after a little bit of time work and patience they are life changing.. my son agreed with me when I told him to watch you... I told him that it's like having your own private coach right there in the room. Really hope to see more and more of your work. Because as you have said, you are still learning. Honestly my friend you really are the big cheese..... Total respect applause and admiration 👏

That's really kind of you. Sons very often don't want to listen to dad too much. The good thing is that your boy sounds like he has a growth mindset - he wants to learn. As a coach, they are the boxers that we tune in to. Thank you for your kind words. You've downloaded my book, so you have my email address. Any questions you or your lad have, you know where I am.

Great teaching as usual. Start with static work then progress to dynamic. Also the defense flows counter and flow can be paired as one drill after a combo or dingle dot etc lots of options

Would you be able to make a detailed video on the slip bag? Or is the slip bag not effective? I don't see many videos on it. Mostly heavy bags and speed bags. Anyways thanks for honoring Salvador Sanchez, my favorite boxer 🇲🇽. Been a subscriber almost a year and have put your videos into practice. Thanks man.

Thank you Mr. Sands. I hope I may ask you a question. Me and a friend live in a very isolated village where there is no opportunity to box. We draw upon his previous boxing experience to organise some training. We both notice we quickly get symptoms from receiving blows to the head, even indirectly by the force being channelled through a block. We don't necessarily go full strength and are not necessarily the meekest of men (he especially is a truly tough bloke). Still, we get problems with concentration, writing, or working with numbers; one's head is in a mist. Are we unknowingly still sparring/exchanging blows too strongly? Does it happen quickly that one doesn't properly estimate the force or intensity with which one should practice on a partner? My wrists also remain very painful due to the pad-work; I can presently only do push ups on my knuckles to spare the wrists. How fast or slow should you go in partnered training?

*Do you recommend practicing it with gloves on say 8oz to 12oz or without at first then add gloves?*
@myboxingcoach7 ай бұрын
Hi Erik. You can please yourself really. For these drills in the gym with the boxers I let them leave gloves off - they have them on for bagwork/sparring etc so any time they can be off on other activities is all good 👍
