Well played. About the last game, well, sometime life interrupts us while playing chess. You never know... kids calling their dad, a boiling pot of water, a neighbor ringing the doorbell. Anyhow, it was fun to encounter the accelerated Panov attack. Good stuff.

Man that last game was annoying. It was like he was trying to cheat but he screwed that up too 😅

Wow, I play both London and Caro and you've been a great shine to my KZbin feed lately!

One accelerated Panov! Great opening against Caro Kann at this level!

Funny you were only "considering" making a a Caro kahn course at this time, only to go on to receive course of the year one year later 😅 🤷♂️ congrats Alex. Love the work and the content. Keep it up brother !

More likely some other thing like a chat, a kid, a pet, a person at the door or phone call. Happens to me too.

No that would account for only the first pause.

Thanks Alex I only play your openings, london and caro and nobody is ready for it! I need an opening as black against d4, maybe show us something? Kings Indian?

I play the same against e4 ^. Against 1d4 I play the nimzo-indian/queens-indian, and a specific line vs the london.

against d4 i like using a combination of ideas from reverse london and caro with a bit of slav thrown in. i like the flexibility it gives me

How does an international master give up mate in 1 to a 1400, overlook 7, e6 for white and end up in drawing positions with 1600s? Is this opening that bad? Im seriously considering something else now

Great stuff again Alex! You are my go-to channel as I mostly play the Caro and London AND you have the good content for that. I have your London Chessable and much like many others I hope you one day make a Caro course as well. When asked you often say there are already other good Caro courses on Chessable, which one(s) do you think is worth grabbing ?

At 1300 to 1500 they are usually avoiding the pawn swap. Usually pushing the pawn past and supporting. Doesn't end well for me.

The Caro-Kann Would be nice, if not which one would you recommend.

Hi Alex, do you have a recommended line versus the Kings Indian Attack? I’ve been playing 1 e4 c6 2 d3 d5 3 Nd2 g6 but got a terrible passive position in my last tournament so am reconsidering.

I would love to see how you get on against the bot Remy Rook, this guy is seriously hard and seems a lot stronger than the 1800 he is meant to be lol. I have beaten and 2000 bot, but Remy in the Caro-Kann destroys me all the time :), I have managed to beat him once (twice technically, just blundered stalemate second time) as white, but can not beat him as black, even if I take a lead, he always finds a way.

I hate playing people like the last guy. They wait until they have 30 seconds left before blitzing out moves. It’s like they’re trying to disrespect by saying they only need 30 seconds to win. Then they blunder their queen.

Hey Alex, I love your courses but why don't you face Alessia Santeramo? She's always talking bad about the London System and would be a good person to show the most critical lines that she knows.

It's funny hearing you complain about how slow the opponent is going when you take 7 minutes to explain one move and 7 variations of some other move they didn't play. Are you the only one allowed to take forever when you play?
