As a person who has played Crusadia for a long time, I have a recommendation for budget players for the extra deck, Link Spider. You'll only need one, and it comes with the Link Structure deck you get for free either at the beginning of the game or at some later point (idk, it just showed up for me at some point). It's useful as a method of extending in certain circumstances. The first reason, which is why I ran it initially, is an interaction with Black Garden where, if you Kaiju an opposing monster, you get a token, meaning a Kaiju, Black Garden, and a Crusadia equals full combo, even on turn one due to summoning a token to your opponent's field when you normal summon the Crusadia monster. Less useful because Master Duel has Black Garden as a SR and Black Garden was really only useful when Sky Striker was the uncontested best deck, or at least meta, but it still might be worth your consideration. The other reason, which is still relevant, is that it can allow you to play through a Nibiru. If you open Crusadia Power and your opponent uses Nibiru, you can prevent the loss of the link monster and then use the Nibiru token to extend with Link Spider. And, in rarer situations, you can just use the Link Spider to start over if you happen to have enough extenders to get to Equimax. Though the latter option does need you to have more copies of the Crusadia Links. Link Spider is not needed to play the deck and won't always be useful, but when it is, you'll be glad you ran it.

The new series is off to a great start already! I really liked the production quality of this one, with the mini replay at the front and the effect text on screen when you talked about it. One suggestion I would make is having a brief section towards the end where you discuss some less-budget inclusions that have great synergy with the deck, but arent necessary to play it, Nibiru would be a great example for a high rarity staple in this deck
@JustJules2503 жыл бұрын
Agreed on the final section but specific to Crusadia Nibiru can be kind of meh. The token doesn't have an original attack so you can't gain anything from it. Without a Kaiju, you can't Nibiru for anything more than 3100 attack (without using Nibiru for links) to still be able to otk.

Thank you Hardleg, I actually have almost all cards for this build already, so I can just go into playtesting and see if I have any extra high rarity spices to put in this deck. Maybe you could make a World Chalice deck too, making use of all the normal monster support the starter decks give us already.
@mazsquared66763 жыл бұрын
Thank you for actually showing a budget deck! People call their decks budget but half the cards are SR/UR's. It's understandable since they might have gotten it without paying money, but after the initial launch, you run out of gems quickly, so it's nice to see new strategies to try out that are almost free!

Wow! This was great! I do have to say that this is a really nice deck. I also like your pacing and style in this video especially in the demonstration part on EDOPro because you don't try to explain everything in a front-loaded way. Instead, you save many things for later when we'll see it and you just show us the building blocks step by step. This allowed me, personally, to piece it together for myself better too. Here's to a nice series!

btw, in case anyone reads this 2 years after the fact, if you are unsure about what to do going first, and maybe dont have any good extra-deck monsters to build outisde of the Crusadia ones, do the combo as normal, but search for the Crusadia Trap (not crawler) which you can play as a one-of in place of pretty much anything. The trap will allow you to summon a reclusia on the opponents turn, giving you a pop on top of a potential negate with equimax, depending on what your opening hand was.

Yo! Your old Crusadia OTK What a Deck was what convinced me to build this myself in Master Duel, so it's cool you made a video on it! You even managed to add some cool extra spice in the extra deck I never would've considered, like Crazy Box. The Parallel Exceed inclusion was real smart too, opening up the extra deck possibilities and making up for the loss of the Gizmek Kaku I was so fond of in the old profile. I personally elected to add Pot of Desires because consistency was a bit rough even with 3 of every Crusadia monster, but other than that, it's been a blast!

An underrated crusadia card I'd recommend as a one off for going first is crusadia vanguard. If you go first you can get it with regulex and on the opponents turn when you activate it you get to trade a monster equimax points to with reclusia whose effect will trigger and let you pop a card. Plus it forces them to attack your links which might catch them off guard

Megaliths are super budget friendly, since the solo mode hooks you up with Hagith, Och, and Phaleg. The only SR is Araton too, so it isn't even difficult to build and it can easily be splashed in Adamancipators/Block Dragon if you don't mind forking over a couple more SR's.

@@IrrelevantOaf The solo mode does nothing for you, all it gives you is Ns which you could craft yourself anyway. Ah, Crusadia. I used this deck to climb through everything in Link Evolution when it came out. It's a deck that does one thing very well, and while the deck hasn't evolved much since release, it's still an efficient OTK engine. Glad it's cheap in MD.
@JustJules2503 жыл бұрын
Love the series and the deck choice, great pick for anyone to get started. Just a couple "corrections" in the combo section from a seasoned Crusadia player: (Assuming you don't have several monsters to attack into) to do the OTK it isn't just any 2, 1 of the two has to either be Maximus or Draco. If you have Arboria + Reclusia, you will need another extender. Without you can get to Equimax with a negate, but no big number. Also which one you normal summon is actually very important. If you only have Maximus and 1 other, you want to normal Maximus so you don't use up his special to trigger Magius. Also you generally want to keep Arboria in the grave as much as possible, which will guide your order.

If you want a more competitive Crusadia list, I've been brewing an Adventurer DPE Crusadia deck ever since Grand Creators was first revealed in the OCG - having Equimax point to a Gryphon Rider or an Adventurer Token that you summoned for free, or even Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer, makes the OTK that much easier; you can play Sangan and link it off with Almiraj for more starters; and the combination of Gryphon Rider + DPE gives the deck some legs to go first if it's forced to!

I love this sm better than the last one. Something I noticed recently, that’s relevant to this deck. World Legacy Succession is a useful Monster Reborn-type card that works well for Crusadias (summons a monster from the GY to a zone a link monster points to). Thing is, the card is SR rarity… except not really. In the solo mode, the second set of World Legacy story stages (the ones relating to Mekk-Knights) straight-up gives you a playset of World Legacy Succession. So it’s pretty much free to get, without spending any crafting points. Just thought that would be useful to mention, since it’s relevant to this being a budget deck.

Here's some extra cool options: If you don't need to search crusadia spell traps, Geonator Transverser (N) can be used as a link 2 that outs cards without targeting, and who protects herself and whatever you summon under her, letting you outplay some boardstates. You could even steal a kaiju, allowing you to kaiju an extra time! ROTA comes for free in the solo mode and searches Arboria, making it a 16th crusadia, and she's balelynx which is cool. Book of Moon (R) baits negates, and Swords of Concealing Light (R) outs entire lyrilusc tribrigade boards for example, which you can pierce through with your Crusadia Leonis

For Budget Build Ideas, there's always the Left and Right Magician's Hands + Foolish Burial/w Goods + Magician's Restage. It's like a budget IO, and since the two most common decks out there are Eldlich and Sky Strikers, they're really good at swinging the grind game back in your favor. I've been using it in my Witchcrafter build, and it seems to be doing pretty well. It helps that everything but the Foolish Burial/w Goods is Normal Rarity, and the FBG is only a SR and pretty generic to boot. Witchcrafters themselves are pretty budget friendly, as only Aruru is the only UR of the deck, and she can be played as a One-of just fine due to how easy it is to search her. The triple SR Witchcrafter Creation is a bit of a big hit for a rogue at best deck though. Also, would you recommend triple World Legacy Succession added to your build? You get 3 for Free in Solo mode and it probably could be used to either recover from a Nibiru or extend even further should you need to.

A friend of mine and I had a challenge to try and build decks to play against each other using no srs or urs as you can imagine theirs exceedingly limited options for no sr/ur decks that would have any chance of competitive success given how the game is designed around giving each archetype at least a handful of both BUTTT we did do alot of research into what decks would come the closest to playable without srs and urs and im going to post my research sense it might be helpful in giving you ideas for budget decks in the future. Everything listed below is talking about the decks in the context of no SR or higher cards even though sometimes my phrasing doesnt reflect that. Phantasm spiral: is completely available at sub SR so it could be a good budget option. - Hero: Hero is missing basically every relevant main deck monster and most of it's good extra deck but it does have all the classic vanilla + vanila fusions and xtra hero infernal devicer +, Anki, koga,dian, and all those are pretty good cards. You might be able to throw together a masked hero deck or use XHID to do like thunder giant turbo??? - Black Wing: You'll be missing the blackwing boss monsters and black whirlwind but I could see the deck still working as a generic synchro engine. - battling boxer: you'll be missing your archatypal xyz but otherwise everything is available at common and R and it can be a decent rank 4 tool box if you can find playable rank 4's - GAGAGA/ZUBABABABA: I have no idea what this deck does but they have almost all the cards they used to be tier one in duel links so this might have potiental. - HAT (hand artifact traptrick): Fire hand and ice hand are both available, so is most of the traptrick cards, and most of the artifact cards you'll be ruining it super sub optimally but it seems very runnable at sub SR - Marincess: I have no idea what this deck does but I dueled someone in gold once who kicked my ass using this and every card she used in that duel is available at sub sr so maybe potential. - Burning Abyss: No dante beatrice or scarm but otherwise the deck is almost entirely intact meaning it would be an exceptionally consistant way of putting out exactly 1 rank 3 a turn. Plus access to virgil and fire lake which might be the best removal available at sub sr. - Magnet Warrior: okay you wont have access to any of your boss monsters, or delta who is an absolutely critical consistency card BUT you will have access to the magnet warrior feild spell which is completely insane in low power formats and I would consider running the deck for that alone. No idea how you could make it work, but I do see it as having potiental. - D/D/D: this deck lacks all of its best boss monsters plus contract with the gate. BUT it does still have both swamp kings,lamia kepler, and most importantly purple armageddon who is a VERY good burn card. AND Contract with Eternity, Contract with the Witch, and CRUSH CARD virus which can lead to a suprisingly competent d/d/ control build. - Toons: The deck has all of its monsters but is unfortunately missing table and contents which really hurts consistancy but I could see this having potiental. - Chaos: You wont have access to alot of the better chaos monsters in the game, but you will have access to a few classics such as darkflare, light pulsar, chaos sorcerer, and the lightray monster all at sub SR - hieratic:I have no idea if this is playable, the deck already suffers from consistency issues and it looses its searcher with the no sr/ur restriction but otherwise the deck is almost completely in tact and could potentially be a good way of turboing out rank 6s - Gishiki: I have no idea what this deck does but they seem to have like all their cards plus salvage - Gladiator Beasts: you can play this deck almost exactly how it was played in its hay day. - metalfoes/majespecter/pendulum: Similar to heros all the best cards available to pendulum are unavailable but pendulum cards have so much inherent synergy and theirs so many of them that theirs almost certainly still something playable hidden in the rough. Majespecters for example have almost all of their cards. - Fire Fist: I have no idea what this deck does but they have almost all their cards ar sub SR - Six Samurai: I have no idea what this deck does except make exactly shien and set duel weild. you wont have shien but you do have duel wield and basically everything but gateway. - Aromage: I have no idea what this deck does in the tcg but it has almost everything it had in duel links to be a competitive threat back in the day. - Ghostrick: this deck has almost everything it had back in its prime which could be quite strong if you were confident you didnt need to worry about links. you might be able to do something with ghostricks and nurse burn maybe??? - constellar: No archatypal boss monsters but EVERY main deck card is legal making this a great option for xyz spaming. - Alien: I have no idea what this deck does but they have every card that they had in duel links when the deck was tier 1 in that game, so they might be playable. Anyways that's the culmination of all my research so far, hope it helps :) I dont think ANY of these would be good enough to exist at high level play but they all have some potential without any SRs/URS so I expect they would see the most improvement from only a couple high rarity card additions.

Something to include if you feel like upgrading the deck to have a turn 1 play is a Halqifibrax auroradon combo like the one MBT used in his Synchron eldlich video. Would be 3 URs and 2 SRs to end on Borrel Savage and Herald of Arclight. Same combo as the otk: 2 crusadias > make magius > summon crusadia to the zone to search arboria> make regulex> summon arboria(search with regulex to bait ash)> make halq > get deskbot 001> make auroradon> special deskbot 001 from grave> tribute auroradon and a token to summon O-lion from deck> make borrelload savage dragon with 2 tokens and olion> get another token from olions effect> make arc light with 001 and token. If you hard draw arboria you don't even have to make the regulex and can search back up for next turn.

This was a great video and I'm looking forward to more in this series! Perhaps a Giant Ballpark deck? Giant Ballpark, Shiny Black "C" Squadder, Neo Bug, etc. are all N or R.

Nice what also makes this deck super budget is that you can get a ton of support cards from the solo mode.
