MASTER GRADE MONDAY!!! P-BANDAI MG BARBATOS Expansion Parts Set

Now that we are back on track its time for #MasterGradeMonday! So #PBandai basically gave us the bare minimum to make the different versions of Barbatos from season one of #IronBloodedOrphans but they really kinda screwed anyone who wants to make ALL of the forms separately. So let's see what all it takes to get er done.

Gundam Barbato's looks like a fun kit to build. I was thinking about maybe getting one but it would end up sitting in my backlog for a really long time

Eventually we will get a Metal Robot Spirits or Metal Build Barbatos and these gimmicks will be less paintful to pull off.. but the pain doesn't stop.. it will hit that wallet like a Dragon Punch

I'd not want to change the kit between forms much ever. Though also buying multiple kits would also be less fun. I feel like at most I'd want 2 forms....... Would have to go with something like form 6 and then something like form 4 with parts from 3 and 5. Perhaps.

So this kit doesn’t recreate the Lupus or the Lupus Rex forms. That’s a bit of a letdown.

Why? It specifically states its for just Barbatos. Just like the first HG kits didn't either. Get real.

I just saw this video, did you already glue the foot that was giving you grief? I just saw a video and a reddit post talking about some aftermarket die cast parts for the MG Barbatos inner frame that offers different foot parts and even reinforced duplicates of the original foot parts as well. I'm looking at pre-ordering that before I build my expansion set and start swapping parts.

Do the early and late forms share pieces? Could somebody, for instance, make a form 1 and give/sell the other bits?

Not really. Things sorta plug into the same spots but the parts aren't really shared

Does this has the same problem as the hg with the waist joint getting lose in short time along the arms/legs? I really want a barba but I don't want it to feel apart very fast since I like taking some photos with different poses..

No its build far better than the HG. But heavy weapons will always cause problems for hands and arms.

I believe pur is for polyurethane

100% sure the PUR is for the flexible cables. Cables usually are made from polyurethane. Never seen PUR runners in a kit before.
