GreenApple 88 I hear he was a very nice man, good to everyone, friend and stranger alike. It's been said that he was kind to people, to strangers and if you were ever around him, he somehow made you feel special just by being around him because he treated everyone the same and that is saying a lot, especially with designers. I heard, though I do not know if this is true, that he liked models who were proportionate to their body type. He didn't like them too thin like they were starving like Calvin Klein's models. He didn't care if a model was thin if the model was naturally thin. I say that because of the comment made about Madonna. Sure, she looks great and she's thin, but she's a tiny person with a small and delicate body frame and she's normally like that. He liked female models who had meat on their bones and not sick looking. He was one of the few who did not demand that females, and males too, developed eating disorders. We need more designers like him. Just from the things I have seen about him, he seems quite friendly and personable like he could sit down next to you and have a conversation very casually and he was comfortable with everyday people as he would anyone famous. He was ahead of his time.

I'm just curious what did Gianni say about Madonna in this video? Like do you have an exact quote? Because all I heard was a woman said Madonna's body was great. But what did Gianni say???
@GodBlessAmerica-rx9jw6 жыл бұрын
Firespawn Gianni says "look at this, she is beautiful" while pointing to Madonna's pic in the magazine. Then he points at the picture on the other page and says "that is porn" Yes Gianni and Madonna were friends, they partied a lot together. Madonna had slept in his houses in Miami and Lake Como (in his bed) Gianni had 1 bathroom out of 11, especially for Madonna at his Miami mansion

Can you say VersacE, just one time.... ???? Your pronunciation is wrong !!!! Is not Versaci... But VersacE !!!.... It's like if we (italians) say Tom Honks, instead of Tom Hanks... You can not pronounce the final character as "i", because in italian language the character "E", must be pronounced simply as "E". I can understand that it's difficult for you, but the sound of the pronounced name, as you usually do, is different of what it is.... It's not a grammatical mistake, because we're talking about a surname, but for an italian, it sounds really bad.... Sorry for my english ;) I hope you can understand me !!!!
@greenapple88836 жыл бұрын
I feel like he did a good job compared to most Americans, and as an American I wouldn't care if you called him Tom Honks, I would just say that's how YOU pronounce it. At least this narrator tried.
@cristiano1972ssl6 жыл бұрын
But sure... Mine was just a suggestion (made by an italian) to pronounce his name correctly... For example, I can do grammatical errors because i'm not american (or english), but i try to speak or to write as best i can. But i can't change the pronounce of a name ! And so...Gianni VersacI is not Gianni VersacE !!! We aren't talk about grammar... But it was not a controversy: it's just a friendly debate ;) P.s. i love USA, especially New York
@greenapple88836 жыл бұрын
Thank you for being so kind about this. I've just noticed that a lot of people don't even try to pronounce his name correctly and I feel like this narrator tried.

These are more like works of art than clothes. Beautiful, but they seem very much for the elite and I wonder how they are reworked for the masses. And the fabric makes these designs work, whereas those materials are not used in affordable ready to wear clothes. I find most of these colour mixes very gaudy and prefer the classic styles, colour blends he made for Diana and the evening wear in this vid, very beautiful.

Why was he murdered whats the REAL reason.?? I have been researching his life the past few days his energy reached out to me. I see myself in him and I also love silk too ( i do not like animal prints at all though). I am not rich nor materialistic. ...but I adore the finer , opulent things in life. Silk is 0rgasmic. Gianni was a visionary ahead of his time. His fashions still look as beautiful today as they did over 30 years ago. I love his Greek patterns they are incredible. Such a learning experience. I hope the models enjoyed the process involved in making the gorgeous clothes they modeled. I especially love his thigh high boot creations. Enjoy paradise Gianni. 🌈
