“Everyone mourning someone to bring them back” honestly fits perfectly with the KH narrative. What it’s gonna be is “everyone sora had connected with must think about him” it’s kinda what they did with roxas tbh. Plus it’s an excuse to visit past worlds of course. I just hope they utilize the worlds properly like they did in dark road. I mean that was perfect. Xehanort going to snowwhites world to use the mirror, etc.

One thing about masters of masters relation to odin is that, in the original norse mythology odin himself was a shapeshifter as well.

The fact that Odin does lose an eye for knowledge in Norse mythology and the Master also gave up an eye to put into the No Name keyblade blew my mind. I would’ve never caught that. The only thing is that the Master of Masters and Master Odin don’t really give me the same vibes unlike Luxu/Bragi/Braig/Xigbar.

Very interesting take. Honestly when Odin came up I thought about mythologies, but in my brain I was like "ok all seeing God? I guess fitting for a master?" and ended that thought right there. This is a cool direction to take, though I'm not sure how Nomura would actually handle deaths. I'll stay positively optimistic about the later parts of kh4 and stay more open minded. I think the main pieces of what you've retold may occur, but juuuust enough so it was "predictable" to the player who read into it.

This is the first time I've heard Ragnarok be brought up in the context of KH, very cool. Each Keyblade War seems to be a stand-in for Ragnarok. And if Nova Crystallis is being tied into KH now, FF13 could be relevant, especially with how Sora crystallizes after losing to Yozora. In FF13, the Cocoon fal'Cie gods are trying to summon Ragnarok to remake the world.
@hillaryslack2884 Жыл бұрын
I am not sure that I would go as far as saying that KH Odin is MoM. Yes Odin does some very fishy things and seems to have a plan for Xehanort however I read it more like Odin knows the "chosen one" prophecy that was introduced in DR and also thinks that Xehanort is going to be the one, just like Luxu thought either Baldr or Xehanort where going to be the one. Odin was allowing Xehanort to act because he didn't know how to save Baldr, but knew that the child of destiny would be able to do it things like that. Since he thought that Xehanort might be able to do it he tried to set up a test. A test that Xehanort kind of failed, but because Odin so wants Xehanort to be this child of destiny that Scala has been waiting for he is unable to truly see that Xehanort did in fact fail. That said I do think that KH is using the Ragnorok cycle and even the characters in it's story. This is the point in the comment that you can stop reading if you don't want to read a page of text. KH since it's very first game has been showing a cycle of repeating elements, and character. Rewriting of Memory. Use of an Arc Pod that destroys a world and renames it. And the seeking of what was lost during the last cycle. The lost of a God of Light. Killed accidentally by either a God of Darkness who is somehow connected to them. A person that goes seeking the God of Light. A lord of the dead that gives information to the Seeker on how to save the God of Light. The end of the World and it's rebirth. A person who fails to become the way to Kingdom Hearts. A Master who sacrifices themselves for a friend. And a person who becomes a vessel for someone else. First the Cycle that starts at the end of BBS and ends in KH1. Kairi although I don't think she got her memories rewritten does have memory lost. Radiant Garden has Arc use which destroys the place and is renamed Hollow Bastion it will not turn back to Radiant Garden until after this mini cycle. Mickey, and Aqua go seeking that which was lost during the last admittedly symbolic death and rebirth of the X blade. There is Ansem the Wise who was killed by his students, maybe not accidentally but Ienzo was so young that he didn't actually understand what was going on. His Seeker is in fact Mickey who goes to the Realm of Darkness. He of course doesn't find him. However Mickey does talk to Aqua while in the underworld and she is a Hel figure at the time. And when we do see Ansem the Wise again he is sporting Odin symbolism. Like any good Baldr character should. Because Baldr basically becomes the next Alfather after the death and rebirth of the world. However this is more along the lines of a mini echo rather then the main focus. In KH1 proper what we have is. Goddess of Light Kairi has been accidentally killed by God of Darkness Riku. However in a surprising turn both become lost. Seeker Sora goes off to find both of them. Kairi fails to become the way to Kingdom Hearts. Ansem SoD makes Riku his vessel and acts as the lord of the dead telling Sora the Seeker how to save the Goddess of Light. And Sora sacrifices himself for a friend. This being Kairi. This destroys the world, by forming the Door to Darkness. There is a final battle. Where the world is then remade at the end. Kairi the Baldr character is the only character in the Realm of Light...or alive. Now we enter the next cycle. Which goes from the end of Kh1 to KH3 because there isn't a death and rebirth of the worlds until sometime in KH3. This is also where we see another repeating element. Sora continuing his Seeker role goes seeking that which was lost after the rebirth of the worlds. That being Riku and the King. He will not find them until they are good and ready to be found. Though both will help where they can. As is often the case for this early cycle seeking. His Memories are rewritten, by Namine. (I don't really know why memory is important however it is a repeating thing that happens in the early part of the cycle. And symbolic ark pod is used, and a world destroyed. Granted it is a data version of Twilight Town, but as symbolism it does work. Roxas will be playing the God of Light Baldr today. It's hard to say that his death was accidental. Unless you want to argue that Sora is the one that kills him. Everyone but DiZ mourns Roxas and wants to get him back. (I am not surprised that DiZ has both Odin and Loki symbolism at the same time. There is a lot of overlap in symbolism for the two characters to the point that historians think that they where once one god. Which is why they are both shape shifters, and tricksters. That said there are some bid differences but a character can easily play more then one role) Lea tries to be the Seeker for Roxas. However it isn't until Sora talks to Ienzo(hello lord of the dead stand in) that Sora once again proves to be the Seeker. There is also Sora who fails to become the way to Kingdom hearts(via way of not becoming a Vessel). The Master who sacrifices themselves for a friend in Riku. And the vessel for someone else...really take your pick. Though I would guess Isa. Then the world is killed and then reborn.(if you believe the Sleeping Realm theory this happens sometime before the final battle of KH3) Our Newest Cycle after the unchained state that happens in KH3. The God of Light Roxas is brought back to life in this new world. Sora has forgotten someone(he saved seven hearts through abuse of the power of waking not six) Sora now for the first time in his life is no longer the Seeker and is instead the thing that was lost in the rebirth of the world. Or he might be the God of Light character. However as there hasn't yet been an Ark pod that destroyed and renamed a world I think he is the thing lost when the world was destroyed. Then there are the age of fairytales cycle. Which is admittedly a bit of a mess because none of the pieces as far as I can tell are in the right order. MoM is the God of Light character. He carefully chose this role for himself. He does not have a Seeker that goes to the underworld and talks to the lord of the dead to find out how to save him. That said MoM himself does tell Luxu how to save him. Giving MoM both the Baldr and the lord of the dead roles. I can't really find the other pieces that are basically always at the end of the world. Partly because there are so many missing scenes, but also I think because MoM is forcing this cycle. Then the end of the world happens and the rebirth though the rewriting of memories. Strelitzia is something lost in the end of the world that Luariam goes seeking. He will not find her until she is good and ready though she will help him as she can. MoM reappears as an acting force after the rebirth of the world. (he reappears taking the data of Strelitzia with him) Then an Ark Pod is used Destroying Daybreak Town and changing it's name to Scala ad Callum. I am not sure who the Baldr character is for this new cycle after the death of the world. It really depends on ML. If a death and rebirth happens before Brain reenters the story then it is him. If death and rebirth only happens later on either as the end of ML or as a missing part of Xehanort's youth then it most likely is Ventus. There are of course more missing cycle elements however I really don't want to get into the full thing in a comment on a you tube video.

@@michaeledwards1644 I also believe that there are other myths within KH. There are in fact a lot of Greek symbolism and even some Egyptian. And those are just the ones I know about I am sure there is more. I focused on the Norse connections in my comment because that is what the video was about. If the video was about the Black box and it's connections to Greek myth I would have focused on Greek myth. That doesn't really stop the fact that there is also some sort of cycle and character archetypes going on. Yes they are not an exact copy of the Norse Ragnorok cycle. And it could just be foreshadowing for a future or Long ago past event. However the patterns are there. Such echoes when they repeat over and over again like they do in KH are important to look at if one wishes to analyzes a story and make theories about it. Because even if there isn't a literal cycle of death and rebirth of Reality these repeats are likely foreshadowing or echoing something important. As for the connections you are more interested in, we don't really have enough information to truly theorize about them without having a large measure of error. They are fun to theorize about but it is more likely to be wrong then just pure analysis. However given what we do know my best guesses for such things are. Luxord is either a wielder from ML that somehow ends up in Quadratum at the end. Or he is someone from Quadratum who went to Reality for help, or just to see what is going on and why people like Strelitzia and MoM are being sent to their world. And causing a lot of problems. I think that Ienzo's birth parents are going to be important and that he is likely somehow related to Brain. Though that does being into question which Brain. And if the family connection is close enough to think of Ienzo and Eraqus are related to each other. Does Strelitzia have memory problems? I haven't seen any hints to that. She could of course but I would need more to say that she does. It is possible that Riku is related to Xehanort. I would not denied that. However if he is then I feel like Xehanort would have brought it up at some point if Xehanort himself knew about it. That said I am not against the idea of Riku somehow being related to Scala. He has the right hair color scheme after all. However I could also see Riku's hair color happening because Xehanort was raised on a not fully awake Destiny islands. Those accidentally changing the laws of how the Destiny Islands work. Making it so that sometimes there are silver haired children born there. As for the child of destiny. I think that prophecy is hard to interpret. And that this one is actually talking about more then one child. Between Riku and Sora they actually have all the powers that the child of destiny is meant to have.

@@michaeledwards1644 We will know more about things as ML comes out. And given that there will be an importance of blood ties in that game we could get hints if not outright facts about peoples family trees. I for one think that at least the three older Foretellers have children. And it would honestly surprise me if Luxu doesn't have children. And Ava is a wild card on this account. Example Ira, honestly has a lot in common with both Isa and Aqua. As in they are people who when they are in leadership roles are not very good at it, tend to be judgmental, and have a hard time understanding the emotions of those around them. As for how Sora is going to interact with the foretellers. I honestly think that they are going to stay in Reality and are going to be interacting with characters like Kairi, the Twilight Town gang, and maybe even the people of Radiant Garden. Likely taking some of these characters as students and disliking the more darkness users among our cast. One of my theories about where Kairi is going to go in this next saga is that she is going to end up as the student of one of the foretellers. Possibly as a replacement for Ava who may or may not be dead, but seems likely to be against MoM right now. Anyway, I don't think that the foretellers are going to be very big in KH4. At least not with Sora's story. I think that there is an unknown enemy that is going to be the forefront enemy in Unreality in KH4 with MoM being behind the scenes. Kind of like how Maleficent was the forefront villain in KH1 and Ansem was behind the scenes. I do think that Sora is going to interact with both MoM and the foretellers at some point. I just also think that KH4 is going to be a lot of set up and that MoM and the foretellers are going to be at least partly behind the scenes at least for the first act of the new Saga. As for believing MoM is Odin. I don't think that they are. I think that they fall into the same character Archetype. Which is why they have so much in common. This particular Archetype is the wise teacher/father. Who most often is connected strongly to light, but they themselves are rather shady. They do wrong by their students or children. They are thought of as wise but if one thinks about what they do they are not actually all that wise. These characters often also have a literal or symbolic lost of an eye. It makes sense that people realize that these Odin and MoM alike. However there is a big difference between fitting an Archetype and being the same person. Which is what I was trying to explain in my first comment but I think that I failed. Odin, MoM, Eraqus, Yen Sid, Xehanort, and even Luxu all fit this Archetype. They are meant to echo each other. They are meant to be foils to each other. However I really don't think they are the same person.

Also l, I don't know much about Nordic mythology but personally am ruminating on a theory that Luxu is going to go against MoM's plan for him which will be its own arc in the Lost Masters saga and that to me would be some trickster god shenanigans. I genuinely believe that Odin is just gonna be a throw away character like the others in Dark Road, maybe outside of potential bloodline acknowledgements in future games which feels like something Nomura is trying to do.

But why would Loki want to destroy darkness? Seems like Loki would be all about letting darkness go wild.
@CelesteSoleil Жыл бұрын
I guess that could be a flaw in my logic, but Loki in mythology is not necessarily a good or bad guy. He's often described as "complicated" and has a love for chaos. He never has bad intentions, but sometimes his actions lead to bad things happening. He's a bit of an anti-hero. Considering we aren't sure what MoM's end goal is yet, I don't want to write Loki off as a possibility. Besides, it seems to me like MoM is willing to use any means necessary to get what he wants. Even the wiki says that even though he aligns with the light, he would let darkness rampage. I know the wiki isn't all knowing, but that seems true from what we have seen from him thus far. MoM is a pretty chaotic character. He did start the keyblade war by making the Foretellers distrustful of each other after all. I think his theme is also very telling considering how chaotic it is. In fact, I'm kind of kicking myself for not mentioning his theme in the video because I think it's solid evidence for MoM potentially being Loki. (That and the scene where MoM blatantly checks out Ira's butt might be a nod to Loki sleeping with a male horse after turning into a female horse). Also, I think it's a possibility that he is like the other characters in KH named after Norse figures. Baldr in KH is not the God of Light himself, but it's his namesake. MoM could very well be based on Loki in mythology and not be the God of Mischief himself, which means he could still be characters like Demyx or Luxord or even Xigbar whom I still kind of think is the MoM despite being Luxu. Sorry for the long reply to your question! :O

I like this theory. If it is true, I hope Nomura puts his twist on it and doesn't just copy the story. The issue I have with this idea though is that as far as we know, majority of Sora's connections are already worried about him. Isn't that what Limit Cut reveals? What would "mourning" look like? Everybody thinking about him at the same time? That seems logistically impossible. However, how much thought is enough thought? I'm sure Maleficent & Pete have had a passing thought about Sora. Would the remaining Guardians have to start a fight and then pursuade them to help since they can't get revenge on Sora if he's not around? I have an idea. How about worlds Nomura made that aren't Disney have their Keyholes burst at the seam with Heartless? Guardians fighting them off but it's not enough. Kingdom Hearts is having a crisis only the Kingdom Key can solve. In other words, the only way for the Keyholes to be sealed would be for Sora to seal from one side and Mickey to seal from the other side while the Guardians hold off waves of Heartless? Yes I thought of that on the fly.

ok - if the MoM is a shapeshifter why is he "too much of a scaredy cat to take off the cloak"? - if Loki was pretending to be odin and sent Xehanort into the mark of mastery to broaden his horizons, why would he then show up to him as a the MoM as another persona? - Eraqus did say "Master Odin is now a crumpy regular old man, he wants to go to a quiet place and retire"... I dont think he planned that. - Xehanort knows the Lost Masters story ever since he was a child because the blue cloaked man (the player ) told him his story in Ux. - Xehanort and Eraqus have different views and opinions because of what they have been through in Dark Road. Baldr even says so "there are two types of people" - odin thought Baldr's darkness was a true darkness and he advised the upperclassmen in dealing with it - He didnt send Baldr to find his sister alone, he even acts surprised when they say they met him. Baldr says Odin left him there so he could heal. He ran away. - Odin orchestrated Baldr's darkness killing everyoine? how? - it doesnt feel scripted, he acted shocked, they were attacked, he as a master went to deal with it. - No Name was also held by Brain and all of Luxu's students, it has to be held by them, it ewas probably held by many people before it got to Odin...same argument can be said about master's defender, only good people had it and i wonder where eraqus had it cuz master odin just had it. - Odin was fighting something probably a big heartless you see explosions and signs of fighting - What makes you think there are other masters in the same world? - The coat was just better than the armor, it's not indicative of darkness...mickey wore that coat.... - The master has no need to go to Scala, he has his key there...he doesnt need to handle no name, it's completely pointless - The Master meets Xehanort in a coridoor of darkness because Xehanort was so drunk on being the child of the prophecy and having to have a strong heart, my guy just literally takes off his armor and almost dies there. - Master probably introduced himself as Superbia or a derivation of that seen they are the 7 deadly sins in latin, it cant be "Invy", "Ava", "ira", "aced", "gula", "luxu" and Steve. - so the master gives his key to luxu pass on until he can bring the foretellers back to the future, but he instead gets the key again so he can pass it on? ... I agree with you that the "leave the world to broaden your horizons and only deal with darkness then" is a very flawed system his sense of timing is indeed terrible could be just plot convenience Riku "dying" makes sense cuz strelitzia says "it's an afterlife of sorts for us" I dont think Darkside is riku So riku and kairi are sibling and spouse to sora SWEET HOME ALABAMA? What really bugs me is that Odin knew Baldr was a threat when the upperclassment disappeared (or shortly after) and he sent them on a mission to actually find them Vidar and the others so that they would be convinced to purge the dark from Baldr. Itr just seems convulted they all didnt sit together instead

Many of the things you said find yons of sense: Mourning to "revive" Sora: KHux explains that thats how Maleficent returned to exist at the opening of Kh2 proper and how Brain arrived at scala ad caelum after the KHux story closes, aka something of them was there (maleficents cape and Brains gorgeous fedora) and someone remembered them (somewhat at least when we talk about Brain) so sora and strelitzia can return back like that, much like the soul in the final realm, but only if they can reproduce the machine, which i suspect the Master of Masters posseses. but i disagree on the ending of kh4, keep in mind, Nomura has drawn clear parallels between that game+kh3 and FF... 13 i think it was (the one with noctis whom is the clear inspiration for yozora), so the story will have several parallels to that as well and to an extent it will coincide, but i think there will be at least 3 games after KH4 Kh4 kicks off the whole thing and will introduce us to the new concepts and villains; Another game makes us make peace with the Foretellers and we plan to destroy the MoM and Luxu; The second to last gets us to face MoM and Luxu who reveal that all he was doing it was doing it to destroy the last sentient darknesses so the war could end; The last game ends kh for good, we will face and destroy the darknesses, retrieve ephemer, save the lost keyblade wielders, find what happened to the player from khux and defeat the darknesses

uhh not to break your theory here but uhm.. Luxu is the traitor if you remember that means he didnt go with the master's plan he diverted it which is why the master had to travel back in time a second time... because Luxu inevitably will betray him and i think we will see that in kh4 trilogy him helping us ruin the Master's grand plan only this time he won't succeed cause the Master already saw it coming an instead will probably put Luxu in a situation where he has to fight us and loose in order for the Darkness inside him to perish which in turn will mean he can't return an instead will have to rely on us to put a stop to whatever the Master is going to do.

just the idea itself about the master being loki goes well with "1 of you is a traitor" When in reality Non of them were Ased only acted based on the belief that the one with the page is the traitor Id be willing to be we get to see the missing page and it says somthing REALLY REALLY blunt like you will be seen as the traitor in order to truly iniciate the keylbade war And we need that to happen the others think otherwise For the soul purpose of creating the most capable fighters obviously in more detail

Wow! I never thought of this or gave it that much thought.😲 Guessing this is all apart of Master Odin plans to lure Darkness out. He's still a dick for setting all this up and orchestrating his students demise.

I love the video, but sadly I have to disagree. A lot of stories have similarities to Norse stories. If the Norse mythos were to be a larger portion of KH3 since he should have had to set it up more. KH3 is missing a lot of the mythos of the Norse. I have to admit though, I wasn't a big fan of Dark Road. I am one to think the Master of Masters is stuck in reality of Quadratum without a real way to get back to the reality of Destiny Islands. This assumes Young Xehanort is talking to MoM instead of Luxu pretending to be MoM. Its one of those things there isn't a clear answer to yet. It also assumes that MoM wasn't time traveling at the time or that his precognition wasn't so good he predicted the conversation. A lot of possibilities.

We shouldn’t forget Luxu. Luxu would be the one to push forward the master of master’s plans, plus he would have read the book of prophecy plus know what is in the box. Luxu could have taken the place of Odin and pushing the master’s plan and events. I also think the master of master’s heart is in the box, atleast a portion of it, a way for him to traverse through time with no issue and what we see is his nobody (his heartless being the darknesses that he is battling since they too can travel through time)
@toddlemmon01 Жыл бұрын
He doesn’t need his heart in the black box to traverse time. In UnionX he said his eye on the keyblade and Luxu’s memories will bring him from A to B
@deathmastersful Жыл бұрын
@@toddlemmon01 I know, but we don't know when Luxu took xigbar's place and The Master's keyblade wasn't being used by the xehanort's heartless/nobody so how could the master watch Sora and his cohorts. I know it is implied that once combined back that the memories of both heartless and nobody are kept [somewhat], that doesn't mean the keyblade would remember. Plus it is kinda implied that the keyblade war was done a few hundred years ago. Unless the master of master's is a magical hardly aging race, he has to have some kind of anchor to travel to the present day. I mean if luxu somehow lost the box after being turned into a heartless + nobody, around the same time xehanort lost his use of the master's keyblade. That would explain the gap we do know of in the book of prophecies. I am mentioning the short time between the "keyblade wars" taking place [1 being the large one, 2nd being the "mock/small" one with aqua and so on, and the 3rd being the one wherwe the Xblade was forged]. This is just a fan theory based mostly on just the box and the book of prophecy.

MoM->Odin->some one with one eye... In my opinion he take Yozora spot. One blue eye, one red(the one he give for wisdom) will be a nice disguise.

Namoura stated The end of kingdom hearts 3 is the start of kingdom hearts 3 The area where you are choosing your class and stats e.g magic, summons ect Sora has already finished the game and is using the power of waking So the taboo broken is like a cup within a cup The power of waking is fine But sora USED the pwoer of waking only to get to and end destination and FUTHER use the power of waking on an already changed result Which is the taboo removing him Quadratum IS the same world But Hes on a timeline entirly different to the one that it happened in Hes in the timeline Where pure light Exists again Quadratum will be the game about the selfish choice to throw away the world for ones friend Even if the entire world Hell The entire of reality itself is trying to force you apart The power of friendship will always prevail "que outro" SANCTUAARYYYYYYY

Why wouldn't it be xehanort and eraqus going to the new world to rule, as at the end of KH3 eraqus asks if xehanort is ready to go. I don't think Mom is loki, we haven't seen him shapeshift at all and he represents the character Odin much better as he gave up his eye for wisdom, but I don't see much that confirms the loki theory.

Better hope Nomura doesn't see this. You'll make him retcon the whole series lol

The master of masters main goal is to Stop kh3 Kh3 the moment where sora connects all the keyholes offf all the different worlds and timelines is the moment that needs to be stopped the master and xeanorts goal is a reset of the world to bring back pure light When sora connects ALL keyholes Connecting ALL realms it links begining to end So darkness can just walk from end to start and make sure the world is never free of darkness

I’m on a different trail here. I believe Odin is Luxu, and Xigbar who we think is Luxu is actually Brain. The Loki thing is a good catch for MoM but I rather like someone else’s interpretation- that Xehanort and Eraqus are Loki and Thor respectively. The MoM’s presence in Dark Road’s story leads me to think MoM and Odin are not the same person. I will say however that it was the Eye thing that made me think he’s Luxu- but it’s a lot because the eye thing isn’t exclusive to the MoM. Xigbar and Eraqus also becomes Scarred (get it, Disney Scar) on their eyes. Through my perspective, I see the eye thing as a recurring curse. All that being said there are key pieces of evidence that tells us Odin is Luxu with Dark Road’s story. Mostly that he known that the original masters became hosts for Darkness. He also at the end understands the truth in words his master once told him. When Xehanort strikes down Baldur, he’s doing out of pragmatism. Darkness possess people and strips them of their dignity, but the only way to purge it is to strike down its host. In doing so, Xehanort accepts his fate. Odin realizes what is at stake in the defeating the True Darknesses.
