The running gag of the Hell Hunters has always been that they proudly talk about being the best but we have never ever seen them do anything other than sit around and sometimes eat food. In 4U there was a questline where a Felyne wanted to see the Hell Hunters in action so it was tracking them but whenever they were about to fight they would come up with an excuse like 'stomach pains' and just ignore the monster so we would have to hunt it. At the end of the quest line the Felyne is like "I finally saw it... it was the most beautiful dance of death I have ever seen and truly they are worthy of all their praise."

The Hell Hunters go after Elder Dragons exclusively so they're well versed in taking them down. Problem is that because they ignore other hunts, they're out of practice. This is how a Tigrex managed to beat them once, and since then they avoid Tigrex like the plague. It's the idea of a fighting game pro being so used to what other pro players do that when they play an absolute newbie, they end up losing since the newbie is so inexperienced that they behave unpredictably according to the pro.

Before I learned that the Elder Dragons could show up during the Allmother fight, and believed that was just Magnamalo's thing, I speculated that Magnamalo's true reason for following the Rampage was because it liked feeding upon Narwabushi's babies and that Narwa would give birth to a bunch of babies at once to make up for all the ones that would become Magnamalo-chow.

That is definitely the reason because of scorned magnamalo. It was the same one that attacked Kamura 50 years ago, and it definitely seems that, with its dragon energy and scars, it went to their nesting grounds after decimating Kamura’s invaders, successfully killed allmother narwa (she likely ate ibushi at this point) and devoured her carcass, including any born or unborn juvenile serpents, down to nothing, getting the powers of an elder dragon, including the raging hellfire.

I'm still quite dissapointed that we only got MR Narwa the Allmother, but not MR Thunder Serpent Narwa. It's like MHW:IB again where only the Variant version of the monster that got MR quest, while the base monster is left behind. Even worse since Magnamalo got the flagship privellege for Sunbreak and have its normal and Variant form available in Master-Rank. All of this is probably because Narwa the Allmother does not have a unique armor set of her own, which is an odd decision.

Master Rank Allmother was surprisingly easy. But that may be because the last time I fought Allmother before was the super amped Event Quest version.^^ I gotta say that I enjoy the Allmother fight more than Gaismagorm as far as Final Bosses go. The fight is just a lot faster paced. And I like the music a hell of a lot more than the music during the Gaismagorm fight.

Which is ironic seeing as the music for gaismagorms fight is literally just the monster hunter theme again, they really don't try to be properly original with the final bosses ever do they, it's always the mid bosses like all mother narwa that get their own theme and then the final boss just gets "proof of a hero remix number 32 electric boogaloo" I love monster hunter and I do love proof of a hero as a theme but they over use it in every entry at this point, I would love if they would at least try to give monsters like gaismagorm a proper theme of their own rather than the bop that is proof of a hero again and again, it appears I'm wrong and several people have corrected me, still seems odd they even decided to put proof of a hero in there at all, feels like they could've just looped it and maybe it wouldve actually been noticeable to me that way since he quiets down a bit more by the end of his fight which is the only point where I could hear music over him

The very first time I fought Allmother, she did that tail slam attack while I was doing SAED, we hit the ground at the same time and It killed her and cut her tail off. In Sunbreak, the first time I fought her, the same thing happened except I cut her tail way sooner.

I've seen some people muse as to how Malzeno could beat back Gaismagorm if it gets thrashed by Narwa, so let's summarise. Narwa was straight up a very powerful thunder beast who can summon massive storms, invoke mass rampages, the usual brand of an above-average elder, and that's before she assimilates Ibushi. But Gaismagorm is situational, with its powerset dependant entirely on the Qurio. At its lowest form, when we first saw it emerge, Gaismagorm has no crystals or flames or anything, no apparent access to energy attacks. It's just a big brute throwing rocks, which is not the best take for facing an agile flying opponent whittling it down with dragon breath. Only once it's started consuming the Qurio's energy and altering its form does Gaismagorm start hitting the levels of power we'd associate from a final boss. With Malzeno subverting the Qurio to its control, Gaismagorm is left in its weakest state and can't do much until someone else deals with its rival. tl;dr Narwa hit her stride from the start and got even better whilst Gaismagorm, as Fiorayne so delectably mocked, is hapless without Qurio juice. And on an aside, I am so glad to have an Allmother quest where we don't have to fight Ibushi first. Nearly a year, but I'll take it.

Even though I was using Switch Axe for Allmother, she didn't feel like an extremely tough fight. Honestly, I found Gaismagorm tougher than Master rank Allmother. I did cart to her once. However, that was because I forgot that when she does her tail slam, the lightning that comes up right after can still hit you. She is still a tough fight, just not top 5 toughest Sunbreak for me. It is still a really good fight and I did love bashing her with the Malzeno wyvern ride.

If you have fought Allmother multiple times in High-Rank along side with her Advanced quest: "Born of Paradise" back then, of course the normal expectation would be you're already getting used to her moveset pattern after all. Meanwhile Gaismagorm only have its debut hunt in Master-Rank, and people are in the process of learning its moveset. Although I did saw some other people said that Gaismagorm isn't particularly hard for them the first time they did it. All in all, it's a differing experiences to players globaly.

I’m not sure if it’s just my luck but every time I join an all mother quest, it seems like players have never fought it before. They seem to always team wipe at the dragonator/ super nova attack like they’ve never seen it before. Maybe a couple more dragonators and the addition to the rings but blocking with the turrets or I frame exploiting the dragonators always works. On top of that some players don’t seem to know to stay off the ground before the big boom hits. Can you skip straight into master rank without fight the allmother now?

Yes. Allmother was unlocked via additional hunter rank tiers, but you can begin sunbreak directly after the final story boss, which is regular narwa. You'll probably experience the same thing when jumping into master rank valstrax hunts.

MR Allmother was such a fun fight, easily my favourite in Sunbreak, although Scorned Maggy and Gaisma are also pretty cool. But the feeling of playing Insect Glaive in the Allmother Bullet Hell is so enjoyable to me. The fact that MR cranked the Bullet Hell factor up to like 11 was really all I hoped for.
