Thanks Sir , Why and how to release forces in release specification of beam? As a considering intersection of two beam junction (+ shape beam junction) . Can we rearrange the transfer of load to beam as a primary or secondary by releasing Fy forces properly at (+ shape) beam junction having equal span of column ?

Sir , Could we have used offset specification to vertical column to achieve practical position of beam column junction in your model (9:43) in staad pro? Would it be correct modelling approach to use offset specification to column instead of beam considering all fixed support ?

Yep it also works.... And then you don't need to assign any master slave node.

Brilliantly explained, and solved my years long doubt. But I still have a doubt about not considering the gravity load of floor coming directly on the column in the form of axial load. Can you explain it in upcoming tutorials?

Does offsetting the beam to flange of the column in staad helps to reduce the loading value sir??

If you offset the beam, there will be a reduction in the member length and hence the bending moment gets reduced and we will get the same result as we have obtained now

In the current versions the name, too, have changed. We call it the control - dependent instead of master- slave.
